Riding in the Rain - Bike Smoking ?

hey guys

im living in Brisbane Australia, a place where it doesnt rain very often. Well today was an exception, I was riding back from university and got caught in a pretty heavy downpour. This was my first time riding in the rain too.

So when I got home, I smelt and saw smoke coming from the front of the bike. It seemed the bike was smoking from the radiator ?

I seen there was water on the radiator, so I let the bike run for abit. Was the smoke just a result of water steaming up due to the high temps of the radiator ?

thanks and sorry for my noobness !

More than likely what you saw was steam; the brake rotors and exhaust system are all prone to steaming in wet conditions. It happens to al of us, and I assure you that it is nothing to worry about.

I am a man, yes. Title of The Man, however, belongs to someone far greater than me! :laughing5

No worries mate, I ride in the rain and snow, so I was able to help you out some.
