Neck Pain From Riding, Finally Cured!

I've had chronic neck pain since I started riding a year ago. I've tried everything. Stretching, massage, neck excercises, ice, heat, but nothing worked. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst pain, my neck was about a 6-7 daily and a 10 after a long ride on Sunday. I bought an inversion table a week ago and my neck is now a 1-2. I hang upside down about 4 times a day for approx. 30 seconds. I can't believe how good my neck feels after only a week. I hope this helps out anyone else that suffers from motorcycle related neck pain.

Also use only the left hand for the jack off sign as you go by the cager chicks.

That's the main reason for curing my neck pain. So I can keep looking.

It took about a week for it to feel good. Muscles have to loosen up before the spine can realign itself. Then again, my back didn't hurt. Just my neck.

I had this problem after a along rides. The pain is on back/side of your neck and extend to your shoulder.
This happen when your Trapzius and Levator muscles are weak or stress.
You neck isn't used to the extra weight of the helmet or your not moving around.

I always get neck pain on the thurway but back road were I can move around setting up for corner.
I have no problem.

Keep your head level like normal when you walk and your eyes up...sometimes I find myself bending my neck up instead of my eyes, causes neck pain after long rides.

+1
It does help if I keep my chin down and look up with my eyes. That way my neck is not as extended.

When I got mine, the feet/ankle pads hurt if I were bare foot. It's fine if your wearing shoes. I got some extra foam padding from homedepot for $6 to wrap around the foam padding that came with it. Now I can invert barefoot and it doesn't hurt as much. Also, it helps to flex your feet up towards your knees while inverted. My feet/ankles got used to it after a week. Went for a 4 hour ride yesterday and inverted right afterward. I couldn't believe how good my neck felt. For the first Sunday in almost a year my neck didn't hurt. I'm really happy that I can go riding and not dread the pain afterwards.

I got it from ebay for $120. I checked all the other stores and you can get them at walmart for $99.00. Here is a link to the one I bought. It doesn't fold up, but is very sturdy. The ankle pads hurt without shoes on. I'm pretty sure they all do unless you buy a really expensive one. I bought some extra foam padding at homedepot for $6. With the extra padding I can invert without having to put my shoes on. Hope this helps.
