Does anyone here with a CPL conceal carry while riding? And if so how do you do it?
I try to when I ride, if im riding with a backpack I usually have it in the compartment where the water bladder goes if you put one in. I just slide it down inside in a leather holster. I have not found a comfortable way to wear it on my person while still be concealed.
Anyone else? Stories? Ideas of your own?
Is this even a good topic? I've been wondering myself how others do it.
I carry all the time, and I Prefer in the waist band holsters. My EDC right now is a G27 which for those of you who do not know is a double stacked .40 caliber. Not supper slim or ideal for a person who likes to wear tight fitting clothes. Well, I wear tight fitting clothing and when carried properly you would never know. In the waist band FTW....
I was carrying a Khar CM9 in the pocket while riding once, I laid the bike down and landed on my side with the firearm and guess what? No boom, no bullet through the leg, the only issue was the magazine blew apart (base plate came off) and the rounds were loose in my pocket, btw I always keep one in the pipe.
FWIW, my glock rides in the waist band between the 4-5 o'clock positions. I use a cheap black-hawk (Uncle Mikes) holster. It goes on under my A*'s leather jacket and doesn't move until I make it.
For the people saying you wouldn't have time to use it, good for you, not a risk I will take. Also just because I'm riding my bike doesn't mean I don't have anywhere to go or anything to do once I get there.
One more thing, many of times individuals with concealed weapons came to the aid of others. Just because "big news" didn't report it doesn't mean it never happens.
Ride safe and shoot straight!
