Congrats OP. Good luck getting your 8 hours a night from now on. But it's worth it every time you look at the little bugger. It's amazing the healing power they have. You could be wasted coming home from work, but one look at him/her and you're all refreshed.

Hey guys... Thanks for the nice comments. This is out second child. Our first one is 4 already.

And my wife loves my bike as much as me so the bike's not going anywhere and my ride time won't decrease... And she reads threads too... She gets a good laugh. :)

Wow, she looks really mature for a 1 day old. All three (6, 4, 2) of mine were wrinkly at 1 day old. Congrats again OP.

Congrats.

For other fathers, or prospective fathers, did you (or do you plan to) decrease ride time when you had (or plan to have) your child? Even though you can take precautions, the unforeseeable dangers with other drivers must give you some concern...

^^ I know you said other or prospective fathers, but ill put my extra 2 cents in there...

Going from my RR being my daily rider to buying WRX 2 weeks before my first son was born... That was about the only way it changed. If I ever went anywhere on my own, I would ride. There were days where I would tell my wife that I wanted to ride instead of driving together and she was alright with it.

If you have a spouse that supports your riding addictions and you absolutely love it yourself, you will be alright when you have a child.

a lot of guys end up selling there bikes after having kids, nothing wrong with that if you feel nervous, or your wife and or kids are scared. However, im fortunate to have a wife that supports my riding habit, i knew she was never going to say "ok time to sell now" and my oldest feels the same :) Just have to be cautious out there as you would normally, i don't think about the dangers or the what if's, if you start doing that its time to hang it up imo. Are you going to prob ride a bit less, yes, is riding a bit less better than not riding at all, hellz ya lol Trust me you need "something" or a "hobby" when you have kids, i dont golf, so for me its the RR ;)
