Would you be able to do that ?
That's not the real question. The real Q is wold you WANT to do that? Even on a goldwing that answer is hell no. For road trips you take a comfy truck, with the bikes in back for those special roads you find along the way.

Nonsense! That kid is brilliant and a godd@mned hero in my books. I'd love to do that kind of a trip but not too sure if I'd physically make it. Got far too slack with this American lifestyle of comfort and laziness.

And the kid is apparently touring Europe now on his trusty cub. I hope to see him in Germany next week...

JK....I don't think he would be allowed on, as bike is so slow....

But the bike is a good choice for going far, cheap and simple, not comfortable.

Still produced, and parts readily available in the remotest places.

easy to cross weird borders, get through rough places w/o much notice....wish I had one here in USA.

I've seen these bikes carrying pigs, crates of chickens, and fresh harvested rice (3-400lbs payload!)

IIRC they get about 90+mpg if ridden gently...

This Rider must have a good "road survival" skill set ....
