08 stolen in sf

My graffiti ed got stolen in the very affluent neighborhood of Ashbury heights in San Francisco. Surprisingly, I wasn't upset by it; I have full coverage with Geico, maybe I was in shock. I never once thought my cbr would be stolen, I only feared what had happened before, it being knocked over. In the end, Geico came through, to the tune of $7300, not bad for an 08 with 30k miles and very few mods. A few days after I sent Geico the title and keys, CHP calls me and tells me they caught the guy. Had it been a day or 2 earlier, I would've had to go pick my bike up from the tow yard. The court house sent me a form to file for restitution from my buddy the bike thief and all I could think of was my $1000 deductible. So maybe in 2 years when this guy gets out of jail I'll be getting a check, not holding my breath. I dont blame this guy, I blame SF. Crime has gone up dramatically over the last year, something to do with a lot of nonviolent drug offenders being let out, which they should've never been in jail to begin with. So we have all these ex-cons out with criminal records not able to get jobs in a city where people with college degrees cant get jobs, hmm, seems like a problem. Multi-million dollar houses next to housing projects, seems like a recipe for disaster. The ever widening gap between the rich and the poor is more apparent in SF than probably anywhere in the world, well maybe not Brazil. I was also a victim of a "hate crime" here in SF, no, I'm not gay. And, I actually have the surveillance footage with audio if you want to check it out on youtube:

Wait, your "buddy the bike thief"?

Backstory?

I'd be "less than mellow" about this......
