Amateur thieves

Didn't take long, but 2 months into ownership some idiot confused my bike for a 1992 Civic and tried to start it with a screwdriver. Good thing I don't lock my bike and he didn't feel like scratching or tipping it. The key still goes in and starts, so I think I got away pretty lucky. I parked my old bike outside covered for years, but it looks like these attract a lot more attention.

Looks like $15 worth of parts and it'll be good as new. Reminder to everyone to park their bike in a safe place and keep theft insurance!

I would love to catch someone doing this to my bike. They would be visiting a surgeon shortly after.

Down with the arrogant.
