Ok this might have already been talked about b4 on here but I haven't seen anything about it on here b4. But I really want some 5 spoke wheels on my 600rr and I like the 03 r6 wheels but I saw on here where someone said that they wouldn't fit. So I noticed that the rc-51 wheels were 5 spoke and since both are Hondas I wondered if anyone knows if they will fit? Thanks
answer is nooooooo.......on my 1000rr the rear wheel fit fine, yet the front wheel was a spacing problem with the axel, so i would imagine that it would also create a problem on the 600rr as well.
BST CF wheels... UNBELIEVABLE... but EXPENSIVE. some folks on this site have them.
cheers... nick - mri
ps. we sell em.

well are there any wheels beside the bst carbons that i can get that are 5 spoke, I have now found out that the 03 r6 wheels wont work and the rc51 wheels wont work, but i really want a set of 5 spoke wheels. so can someone please help me out, i don't want to spend 3000+ dollars.
Ok, before I type this I know I'm not talking about honda, but one of my friends has on 03 636 which has the 3 spoke wheels, and he just bought a set of the 05 636 wheels and found out that they didn't fit, well this guy that works on our bikes said that he could have spacers and what not else he needed machined to make the wheels fit, could this be done with the rc51 wheels?
A few of you said that the back wheel of an rc51 would fit fine: did u mean the sprocket, brake, axle and everything? and also what about the front wheel makes it not fit, I am trying to figure out if it might be possible for me to have my friend machine something for me to make the wheels fit like he did my friends 636? I know this is a big hassle but as I said before I really want a set of 5 spoke wheels but don't want to pay 1500 or more for them, and especially now that my friend has those new wheels on the 636 it is making me want them even more. Thanks for all of your help.
i would never use wheel spacers just to make a wheel fit onto my bike. what would you do if one they the spacer broke all of a sudden and sent you hurdling down the pavement??? i have seen wheel spacers on 4x4 trucks before and those things break very easily, and have 3 more wheels to slide on bikes dont, if one wheel comes off you will be a pink mist on the highway. i would say that if wheels wont fit then just accept it, no need trying to make something fit that just isnt supposed to and endangering yourself just because you like how they look. i bet they wouldt look so good flying down the highway in front of you while you are sliding behind it!!!
hes just looking out for ya thats all. I agree with him, why cheap out and die. Just pay the money get the sweet @ss aftermrkt wheels and show them off over your buddies stock 05 636 wheels...
yeah well i bet just like you would ignore your mom you will probably ignore me and probably get seriously hurt. i learned the hard way that my mom was usually pretty smart and knew what she was talking about.
The guy who is doing the whole thing is a former ama superbike racer so if he says that it is ok i am going to take his word on it. All I need to know is what about the wheels don't exactly fit so that he can tell me if it is possible to get them to fit.
I'd like an answer to one of his earlier questions...
Are there any 5 or 6 spoke aftermarket wheels out there that aren't going to cost me $3000? I'm also not looking for a racing wheel (mag or carbon) just a better looking wheel... IMHO the stock 3 spokes look gay :don't be gay sparky:

Your an idiot.... spacers for a vehicle and a bike are different! A spacer for a 4-4 bolts on the exsisting wheel studs to "extend" the wheel out further putting more stress on the stock wheel studs causing them to break!!!! As for a spacer on a bike, it is just that.... just a piece of metal to take up excess space. Completley different spacers.... mullet boy!

I'll answer the question in regards to spacers ... your FACTORY OEM wheels HAVE spacers from the factory.
So ... as long as they are machined to the correct thickness and ID & OD for the axel and wheel - your ok w/the wheel not falling off. Car/Truck Wheels mount using a whole different method than M/C wheels.
The main thing that will give issues is the disc/caliper spacing and aligning the rear sprocket. But it can be done if you know what your doing.
The thing is you need engineering know how ... not just mechanical.
im really interested in this too
i want to have some other wheels for my bike
but if they are going to me at risk im not going to do it
