08SilveRR_Bullet aka Scott
U.S. Air Force
E-5 (SSgt)
AFSC 3D0X3 (Cyber Surety)
TIS-5 yrs (clearance - TS/SCI)
Lackland AFB 01/07- 03/07
Keesler AFB 03/07 - 05/07
Dyess AFB 05/07 - 12/09
Scott AFB 12/09 - current

I have been deployed 5 times with the names of 4 of my locations being classified.
The one that is not classified was to Al Udeid, Qatar.

I am currently waiting on my functional manager to release me and I will be back down at Lackland AFB as a MTI (military training instructor).

Below is a little description of my current job:

-Communication Security (COMSEC) is the general term used for all steps taken to protect information of value when it is being communicated. COMSEC is usually considered to have four main components: Transmission Security, Physical Security, Emission Security, and Cryptographic Security.
-Transmission security is that component of COMSEC which is designed to protect transmissions from unauthorized intercept, traffic analysis, imitative deception and disruption.
-Physical security is that component of COMSEC, which results from all physical measures to safeguard cryptographic materials, information, documents, and equipment from access by unauthorized persons.
-Emission security is that component of COMSEC which results from all measures taken to prevent compromising emanations from cryptographic equipment or telecommunications systems.
-Finally, cryptographic security is that component of COMSEC which results from the use of technically sound crypto systems, and from their proper use.
-To ensure that telecommunications are secure, all four of these components must be considered.

I need your help. I'm dropping my package this year for pilot. Right now I'm an ET1, radioman on fast attacks. I've been in five years and now I'm the nuclear field coordinator for a recruiting district. I just took my ASTB today, actually.
