All of the "hawk" helicopters are an H-60. The Navy's B, F, H, and R versions are called a Seahawk. The Sierra is called Knighthawk and built off of the Blackhawk While the Seahawk was built off the H-60 platform, it was built from the top down for the Navy specifically.

Haven't been in forever like a lot of people here, pretty new to the navy thing but I'm really enjoying myself in A-school right now. Been in just over 9 months and have 4 more years to go.

Enjoy your time on the boat, when you finally get there. I'm a little biased, but you should try to get on a Seawolf class boat. They are amazing and the stories about always being broke are not true. Well, for the Seawolf they weren't as of late 2005 when I left the boat.

Thank you! I am hoping for a Virginia but I'm not too picky as long as i get a fast boat.

I wanted to rejoin as Scimitar crewman with QRL, was Infantry, eventually didn't bother, compared to when I joined originally it's like they don't want anyone these days, or it's just me having done it all before....lots of budget cuts these days! Soon it will be bayonet only, can't afford the bullets sorry!

10.5 years Marine Corps: ('92-'02)

several MOSs since I lat-moved twice. 90% of my career with combat arms or direct support of.

29 Palms, CamPen, Bridgeport, Long Beach, SanDiego, Niagara Falls, LeJeune, and plenty of time "overseas" with guys both good & bad. been out for nearly 15 years now... but we never really get "out" do we?

to those thinking of joining or staying in; if it's not your passion, or you're not ready to go "all in", then go try something else... 'cuz ya might not ever come home (the same).
