That may very well be true. But this discussion has come up several times here and other forums and I remember a CA/AZ spacific thread about it and someone made a very valid post of it being 100% legal in those states and I assumed many other but ever state and local law will vary but for riders saftey to avoid obsticals debris and other road hazards that may cause the rider to lose controls and injur one self or the vehicle in a safe manner is legal to move freely in their own lane as they please bein that whole lane is your riding space and is legal to ride on the left middle or right side.

That being said if it becomes a hazard to other or one self being done in an unsafe manner or distracting and causing other drivers or riders to react or enraged them selves it then becomes wreck less driving/riding or public endangerment. It being said to actually be legal to warm the tires up and actually being mentioned for something that's non existent is beyond me.. But the sighting officer or arresting officer would have to have defensive proof the rider was deliberately swirving for tire arms up and it actuall being written exactly so its illegal to do so.. Is pretty far fetched...

But seeing this rider apparently being in dubi local state and federal law does nothing to effect the laws over there.. So it doesn't do much good to argue Ps and Qs not helping the OP any. But to have the OP look into local laws there.

Cops are dicks when they want to be. Sorry to hear. The justice system is by no means fair or rational. Stupid people get to make stupid decisions. You are at the mercy of the idiots in power.
On a side note, warming up your tires is done better with hard acceleration and hard braking in a STRAIGHT line, rather than swerving. The flexing of the carcass is what really generates heat.

i got a ticket for walking, by a motorcycle cop back in the day, so even some of them are just a$$holes when they want to be or need the extra check mark... (and yeah, i said some so no trippin...) --- anyways, good luck bro and hope it goes well and as others said, consulting with an attorney might not be a bad idea...

also, go to the impound lot and beg the attendant to take "best care" of your bike.......with a good dollop of cash.... and go by there every few days to make sure the bike is OK.....

even though you're getting banged by the system, try and work it to minimize damage to bike and soul.....

I believe you are in the right.....

in my opinion it does, you will be covering more surface area in a zigzag compared to going in a straight line, and thus the tires could get warm faster.

+ where I live is kinda sandy and dusty, so it could actually help remove whatever is on the tire

Great article here on why this is a myth. Other than cleaning the tire you're not actually warming up your tire any better that way. You want to warm them up fast? Do hard accelerations followed by hard braking.

They warm their tires in the pits with warmers and a full lap around the track to get the heat up..

So swirving does nothing but bring you attention or for those who know better make you look like a fool showing off.. Unless you just went through sand or dirt is the only time I do it or if I get really bored on long trips and go with the song on my player.. But performance factor it's useless...
glad someone posted this fact.

are you guys saying that the friction between the tires and the road is the same when going in a straight line as when throwing the bike left and right ?

dude stop asking about the tire warming. if you needed to warm your tires, you were planning on speeding reclessly. no rider in his right mind rides that close to the limit.

if you told me you were swerving to feel the bike, id believe you and back you, but heating the tires, in dubai? come on bro.

still, the cop overreacted, as they mostly do. id be really humble and say and do the right thing

you should be riding within YOUR limits, below the maximum speed allowed on the road. the indicated or suggested speed is not a target or a minimum speed requirement.

assuming you need to warm the tires, do you warm them whenever you had been waiting at a traffic ligth for 60 seconds? do you warm them after hitting water on the road?

how long does a stationary tire maintain its temperature, and how much does wind or water reduce the temperature? not trying to be a d&ck, just pointing out how flawed it is on the street.

im pretty sure i know how to stay in my limits. the discussion is on speed limits.
