had an 03 Trailblazer, it was a solid truck but did go though alot of gas, also for me insurance was a big expense but so unless their is a radical difference between the 02-03 i would say there a good SUV.

I would recommend a Honda or a Toyota, but if you really want the Envoy, make sure you buy it really really cheap.

I have an 04 Envoy and its doing very well. Still don't have a single rattle in the thing, the engine is real smooth, ride is quiet after 34k miles. I'm happy but someday going to get something bigger if I can afford it, like a Yukon XL or something but big $$$ there.

They have NO RESALE VALUE AT ALL!!! I hate to see these things pull onto the lot because every time I've had someone want to trade one in they owe 15-20k on it and it's only worth 8-12k.

I rear ended a car a few days ago.......

The driver got out of the other car, and he was a DWARF!!

He was pissed!

He looked up at me and said "I am NOT happy!"

I said, "Then which one are you?"

I dont get why people think chevys are bad, my dad has a 1992 chevy S-10 with 300,000 miles and it still runs just as strong as when it was new, hell the clutch even lasted to 250,000. my mom had a 98 astro van with 100,000 miles and it still ran good, her current car is a 02 Yukon xl with 85,000 and not a problem, and my dad also has a 03 2500 hd, 4x4 duramax with 95000 miles with no major problems.
So I say go ahead and get the trailblaser, and if your worried about resale value get a 2000 blazer make sure to get the 4.3l engine though.

Oh i'm not worried about resale. not at all. I just want a vehicle that works better than my Malibu. God that car sux. That's going on the front lawn as soon as i can sign my paperwork. I test drove two other SUVs and the GMC has it easy. I think that's what i'm going to get.
