Nice ink! Which artist(s) did the work?

I'm going for my 2nd piece soon. It'll be a 1/4 sleeve in black and gray. A bit on the darker theme.

A few grand. After seven years of seeing the same artist he has been giving me super good deals. The sleeve on my arm took a little less than 30 hours and cost me around $1200 total. The only problem is, the shop is 4 hours from my house so its a pain to go to.

His name is Dustin Golden (www.DustinGolden.com) he owns Skin Thrills Tattoo in Roanoke, VA

He has done all except one of my tattoos ( a nautical star that I got at the shop where they film "Inked" in the Palms Casino in Vegas).

I need to get some more photos of my leg. I have a koi from my ankle to my knee on the back of my calf.

Ahh ok. Anyhow, looks good.

I see that you're in VA, so I was just wondering if Timothy Hoyer was your artist by chance. I know that he's from VA, and is relocating to NYC soon. He also is known for his Japanese theme work.

Nah, Tim is down in Richmond. He actually did a sleeve on my artists wife... its really sick. I was going to have him do my leg but his prices are more than I can afford (totally worth it though if I had the $$)

How much per hour was he charging?

I know Chris O'Donnell in NYC charges about $200/hour, as do most other top artists in the city. I'm sure Tim will be charging around that much once he's in this area.

I'm looking to have work done by one of Paul Booth's former guys.

Right around there. I just cant see myself paying those type of prices, especially after paying what I have been paying for such good work. Tim is a great guy though, and an amazing artist.
