Turn signal installation

Sorry to post yet another noob thread, but I am a noob!

My exhaust and indicators are both on their way down under as I type this, and obviously I want to get them installed ASAP once they arrive.

What I want to know is, if the DMP 3's I've got coming are anything like the cheap ebay signals I bought (and decided not to install) and have short wires, how do I go about extending them so that I can plug them into the factory loom?

If there's already a how-to that I'm not seeing on how to do this, feel free to point me in the right direction

Thanks in advance
Noob :)

Do you know what kind of connectors or plugs your turn signal got they probably won't be plug and play ie fit directly into your female plugs coming from the main harness

Easiest solution cut the male plugs off your oem signals , when you get the new turn signals
Check the length of the wires if they are long enough solder the stock plugs you just took off the oem signals then use a heat shrink tube over that solder job or simply use electrical tape that should get you sorted out mate

Yep they're still on the bike, all I've done back there is install my Tripage IT, but didn't bother installing the FE with the stock exhaust so haven't changed anything with the fender/signals/original brake light yet

Ok you are set simply take the turn signal plugs and solder them to the new turn signals presto you are set to go you must have bought the regular IT no integrated turn signals which is still a lovely product

Anyone know if there's a way to slow the flash rate on the indicators once the Tripage IT and FE are installed?

It says the package comes with a flasher relay to do it, but also says that it won't work on bikes with hazard lights, which my bike has.

I've got the relay here but can't see how any of the plugs/connectors would connect to it anyway

Your bike already has a flasher relay. It's under the seat by the battery. You have to take the existing one out and connect the new one in its place.

But like you said, I'm not sure how different it is for bikes with hazard lights. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Ah so that black thing I got from Tripage replaces the stock relay?

I'm going to the store tomorrow to buy some male connectors...Do they have a proper name or just 'male 2 pin connector'? I'll take them with me anyway so hopefully they have the same part in stock.
