Just picked up my first motorcycle which happens to be a 2007 cbr 600r. Pretty stoked to be on two wheels again (been awhile since my bmx days) :cruising: Can't wait to learn and get better at riding.
Congrats and welcome! Like others have said, take it easy at first and be careful. Make sure to get proper gear as well because you never know. Would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Thanks everyone. I do have a pretty decent background in motorsports so I understand how to go fast. Thankfully I'm not as stupid as I once was and thats kinda why I felt good enough to get a sport bike now.
Welcome to the boards! I'm in the same boat as you, same year bike and first bike. What part of SoCal are you from? Like what the others have said, stay safe with proper gear and take your time.
I'm usually between Westminster and Newport but have a couple friends that want to take me on some fun rides further out. So far the bike is great and Im finding new stuff about it everyday (didn't know mine was lowered). Just ordered some woodcraft sliders because the bike already had holes cut for them I and start the chp class next week as well. Since I originally bought the bike to flip, I didnt want to put much into it but after riding her I think my plans may have changed. lol
