: Review: EBAY "Auctmart" Repsol Fairings 07 RR **Be Aware **
Rotop Racing 04-05-2008, 09:40 AM Live and Learn.
In spite of the warnings of various people, I dropped $700 for a set of Repsol fairings from Ebay seller "Auctmart" who operates out of China.
The fairings actually don't LOOK all that bad; the problems start when you try to mount them. Fitment is TERRIBLE; the set I received is impossible to mount as the upper side cowls will not mount properly in the front not matter how much redrilling etc you do. In other words, the fairings are USELESS.
I should get my money back, right? Urrrr, No. Paypal requires you to start a claim within 30 days. however, the Auctmart guys are SMART. They say on their website that they dont ship for up to 20 days after you pay. If you email them they tell you it will soon be coming and they'll give you a future tracking number. By time the 30 day limit arrives your shipment is "in transit"...so, everything looks good, right? The surprise arrives long after you've received the items, the 30 days to contest is past, and you try to fit the set. Of course, Auctmart simply ignores all your emails after the 30 days are up.
So, bottom line: Auctmart Ebay fairings for the 600rr are ****, and Auctmart are crooks. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Moeman 04-05-2008, 09:51 AM Sorry to read that you got ripped off thank you so much for
posting this thread to warn evrey body & best of luck
whodey 04-05-2008, 10:38 AM that sucks bro! thanks for the warning, but maybe you can file claim with your credit card co?
cortayack 04-05-2008, 12:25 PM Make so noise!!!! Let them know you are a member of a motorcycle forums and will post negative reviews....That might make them think you will cut into their business sales....
But don't give up, 700.00 is alot of money to lose.....
Good luck!!!!!
miaracing 04-05-2008, 04:16 PM please tell me you paid with your credit card ? and you can always file a dispute before 30 days and they give you an extension to escalate your dispute to a claim. I ordered my fairings through fullgearcycle. he shipped mine out in 4 days and arrived in 4 more days
Phatstud 04-05-2008, 06:32 PM Yeah, file a dispute, email them saying that you're on several forums and will happily voice your opinion on the product you received.
s2kvscbr 04-05-2008, 08:49 PM like everyone said.... hopefully you paid with CC and not bank account.
i always pay using amex via paypal. so if paypal doesnt give me my money amex will fight for me.
less hassle no worries.
get your money back 700 isnt chump change. gl
NormlDan 04-09-2008, 10:46 AM Sorry to hear that... i was lookin into these fairing as well.
Did you leave them feedback yet? If not, you should put out a warning in the feedback.
ShankerD 04-09-2008, 10:52 AM I always pay using my CC and I also wanted the repsol fairings but all the review about the ebay products kept me from ordering. Like everyone else said if you paid via CC just call the CC company and they will take care of it.
1000RRSTUNNA 04-09-2008, 01:40 PM ive installed 2 sets of auctmarts plastics without a problem... they look great for the $
ill buy them from you and put them on my bike.
TopTier 04-10-2008, 01:09 PM Thats weird. I had a set for my 1000RR and had no problems.
ShankerD 04-10-2008, 01:17 PM It seems like their fairings fit fine on 1000RRs but no so good on 600RRs. I had earlier asked another member here who got fairing from ebay(I think it was from Auctmart) and he told me that the fitting was not like OEM but he managed to put them on after drilling some holes and the imperfections were only visible from close up and looked excellent from a little distance. He was using them as race plastics.
sooperman12 04-10-2008, 01:21 PM The customer service between 1000RR and 600RR.net is like night and day. The Auctmart guy is actually a MEMBER of 1000RR.net. They have a test-fitter (resusit8) on there who basically champions for them like it's his job. Basically, if you own a 600RR expect junk. If you own a 1000RR, it's a lot better, but still junk. By the way, for $100 less, I got an immaculate paint job AND repair of rashed and damaged fairings done by NATypes.
r1hunt13 04-13-2008, 01:31 PM Try doing a claim to Paypal and even eBay. They don't want their company's image tarnished, so they may be willing to help you out.
carbonrrpilot 04-13-2008, 06:28 PM from what ive seen, if the fairings are not listed as OEM they almost never fit right, thats why in the description it says profesionall install recomended, my carbon fiber kitt was the same, fitment was weak, after much carefull dremelling ect.. i got my kitt fitting together tight but it took some work, hope you get your money back, if not get yourself a dremmel and carefully clean up each mating piece together, if yer patient, youll be suprized how much beter you can make the seams fit !!! good luck!!
Niner1000RR 04-13-2008, 06:52 PM I've bought a set from them, they weren't great, but they made good on it. In the end I was happy with them (for an 03 600RR).
I plan to buy from them again.
carbonrrpilot 04-13-2008, 07:36 PM how did they make good on it? refund, new pieces or advice? either way, glad they took care of ya!!

sucks donkey nuts! i say file a claim with E-bay, Pay Pal, and recrut the help of members here that are on 1000RR.net as well. for 700$, i'd put some effort into it. good luck with it mang. keep us posted. T.K.
TriColour 04-15-2008, 06:32 AM That blows. Sounds like the company one of my friends is waiting on fairings from. He's having major problems with them as well.
1000RRSTUNNA 04-15-2008, 09:26 AM send em to me ill show you girls how to put em on.....
Meyaleleth 05-04-2009, 02:39 PM Well guys, I was planning to buy fairings from them too, but I dont know what to believe. Some say fitting is good some say its bad, I guess it depends on each particular piece.. Dunno! :tard:
cjt28 05-04-2009, 02:47 PM Meyaleth, this thread is from last year. From other threads I've read Auctmart is pretty good about customer service. Also, they have been selling "perfect fit" fairings for a while. So I'm guessing if you purchase a set and have problems with a piece of the set, they'll send you a replacement free of charge. You should contact the original poster to see what was his ultimate outcome, continue doing a search on Auctmart fairings and contact Auctmart.

JskipRR 05-04-2009, 05:08 PM hope my motofansclub kit wont be like this when I finally recieve it
Rotop Racing 05-14-2009, 08:27 AM Nice to see someone finding this thread from last year.
No, Auctmart never made good on anything.
In my experience, once you pay them thats the last you will ever hear from them.
Anybody want a set of Repsol bodywork for an 07 600rr cheap?:evil3:
Seriously. Stay away from these people.
2KUIK85 05-14-2009, 11:27 AM yeah. i am glad i read up no moto and auctmarts, i won't buy from either, i got a personal guarantee from the guy at nicecycles.com, i saved th e-mail, he said they guarantee fitment and if any problems they send you the pieces you need, no money out of ur pocket. other than what you spent to get them, he said they take 2-3 weeks to get, but i used a CC so any hassles i will call the card company and the BB BUREAU.
ALSo: i found out that the OEM fairings that are more expensive and "much better" are made in china....need i say more, i paid 800.00 for mine, will update what happens when i get them
facebook 05-14-2009, 01:45 PM sorry to hear,
i purchased a fairing set from them, had some fitting issues and you can see the imperfections but once installed it looked good for 600.
theres ups and downs and unfortunately you got the bad batch
Swimp15 08-29-2010, 02:22 PM Thanks man, I was just about to hit the "submit" button and have them put me into submission but then I thought about checking the site first. I'm going to hold off on the fairings for a bit and do some real research.

jbutel 08-30-2010, 07:16 AM Hahahah, this thread last two years. I wonder how much business this bad review cost? I think some of the posters had a point on why customer service should work with disgruntled customers.
biketec 08-30-2010, 08:20 AM Woo $700 for a set from Ebay. I paid a little over $500 for both my 05 white custom set and my 2000 R1. They both fit great paint job is good too. I will post pictures later on. Hey Auctmarts I heard you got pretty good rearsets. How much are they and do I get a deal...?? PM sent :+1:
