I have been wanting to drag my bike now the last couple weeks but the last couple fridays have been washed out due to rain and it's supposed to be nice this weekend and i was curious to other peoples runs. Please post your 1/4 mile time and speed so i can compare. Thanks

I did a 12.3 @ 116 mph. That's a mile high in Denver.
Carefull, the front likes to come up alot more than on the streets!

i was just curious because my magazine says our bikes are supposed to run a 10.2 with a estimated speed of 131 mph "professional driver" so who knows

Factorys send the magazines ringers...that and the test riders can really ride well.

Earlier this week I ran I 10.8 @ 130.8 MPH, but that was one out of 6. All my others were mid 11's at around 122 MPH... If you warm your tire watch out cuz it'll pick up like no other on the strip: sticky as hell.

for my first time ever draggin i ran a 12.1 at 119 mph so i guess thats not too bad... it's really hard to get a good reaction time at the strip...i noticed that

Reaction time wont affect your E.T. or mph. What rpm are you launching at? You should be upwards of 9 to 10 grand and then lay into it and feather the clutch out. I run mid to high 8's at around 160ish mph on my ZX-9R dragbike.

I just went this past friday and ran a 11.46@122.7... Bad launch, but still a good time... I had a lot of mid 11 second runs, but yes the front likes to lift a lot even only launching from about 5000 RPM's. My feet were sticking to the track since it is soooo sticky!!! I need to work on my launch for the next time we go back, I need to learn to feather the clutch out a lot more. I tended to just dump the clutch since I was soo excited... I did get to make 9 passes though... Just a sidenote, the best my friend on his R6 could do was a 12.09... in his defense, he does weigh about 50 more than me...

yeah bro Im lookin at my slips right now and my best run was 11.58 @ 127. My bike is stock other than the K&N filter, two bros xhaust, and PCIII USB. Reaction time is all practice though. With a half sec delay I was around .825 everytime. Oh yeah this was my first time @ the strip too.

You have to look at your body weight too, most of them pros are around 150. if you are 200 lbs there is no way you can get near that time maybe lucky if you do 13s, but no disrespect to any one.

I've not ran the track yet, but a side note... I dont want to make the RR a drag bike. I do want to know what you would consider a good platform from the strip. Alot of people have busas and zx12r and such... but would has been your best experience and solid build on a bike?

I've been 10.41 @130 when I was stock wheelbase and 10.18 after I stretched and sprayed. I ran out of gear and hit the limiter @ the 1000' mark and I haven't been back to a quarter mile since I have made adjustments to my setup. The bike WILL run high 9s as soon as our local track re-opens. Your 60' time is all you should be concerned with when your learning the sport. You can cut a 1.60 60' @ stock wheelbase if i can. Stretched I can dip into the high 1.4s
