Does anyone know the law in Florida for which LED light colors I can use for underlighting?

I just move to FL from Germany and would like to mod my bike.

If you want to be safe, I'd stay away from red or blue. It might be legal for underlighting, but they still might hassle you for it.

I really wanted to use Red. I have a black 06 rr and I think that red would look the best. But, I want to be legal too.

Found this at the Florida DMV:

Equipment Not Permitted

You may not have on or in your vehicle:
Red or blue emergency lights. These are for emergency and law enforcement vehicles only.
A siren, bell or whistle.
A very loud muffler or one that lets out smoke.
Signs, posters or stickers on the windshield or windows (except those required by law).
A television which the driver can see.
More than two spotlights, cowl or fender lights, fog lights (in front), or other extra lights (in front).
Headsets worn by driver while operating a vehicle.I agree that red would be a good color for the black, but again, if you want to be sure to avoid any legal hassle, Id stay away from it.

I think any color would look good with a black RR.

Unfortunately, red and blue are the first colors that come to mind. Maybe just plain white. White leds do have a slight blueish hue to them so it might look cool.

OK lets just say that black is a neutral color....... you can use any color with a neutral color...... and lighting really depends on where you live how you ride and all that crap but I have seen lots of bikes in my area with red or blue. some cops are more lenient than others. but I would stay away from those color anyway. but green gives the most light.

Thank you! I am still saving the money to do the lighting but, it is good to have the info before I waste money on something that will get me a ticket.

try purple or blacklight color. it should be ok. my friend has it on her gixxer and it looks great at night. i suggest wiring a switch to it so u can manually turn it on/off.
i think u can still go with red or blue underlighting as long as u use a switch and don't ride with it on. (meaning use it for show purposes only)

I have had my Blue ones on for over a year here in Melbourne FL and have never had a cop say anything even when I got pulled over, for speeding, with them on.
