: My Leo Factory Ti / Carbon Slip-On...

03-29-2007, 11:25 PM
Just installed it tonight...

Not that big of deal...But I had to undo some of the subframe bolts to "hinge" it up out of the way a bit to allow for the old exhaust to slide UP and OFF...Then I was home free...

Bought this from More Power Racing (online)...Shipped ASAP...It was right around $600 shipped. Leo just got them here in the states. Great build quality...It all lined up perfectly...Can't use the heat sheilds anymore...But like my others in the past, the aftermarket exhausts generate less heat. Let's hope it's OK...Doesn't mention it in the guide...But the heat sheild will not fit with the pipe. I also removed the side pieces of plastic to allow view of the can with the "Leo" nameplate...

Let' see how it sounds tomorrow...Kids are sleeping tonight!!

Nice looking pipe bro. Now go crank that bike! Them kids wouldn't hear a freight train running through the house. :icon_lol:

Looks sick man. Gotta get some sound clips.

03-29-2007, 11:44 PM
That is tits. But damn do we need a fender eliminator kit pronto!

03-29-2007, 11:46 PM
Yeah...On the fender kit...Pretty ugly back there...

I am hoping something will come out soon that looks good...There are a couple, but I am waiting to see other options...

03-29-2007, 11:51 PM
Im picking mine up tomorrow and should have pics. then again you can always see it in person.

03-29-2007, 11:53 PM
that pipe looks really nice......good choice.

03-29-2007, 11:57 PM
Im planning on getting the carbon carbon one if it sounds good.

03-29-2007, 11:59 PM
awesome! i live about 20 miles from the Leo Vince distributor in North America. A week before the 07 showed up in dealerships, I got a glimpse of Doug Chandler's Leo Vince-fitted 07 RR at Kyle Racing being dynoed. I overheard the tech saying, " damn, 120 horses at the rear wheel". :rocker:

03-30-2007, 01:07 AM
Sick pipe mate, looks really nice.

03-30-2007, 01:34 AM
if people seriously get 120 rwhp with a pipe i think i need another RR

03-30-2007, 01:39 AM
if people seriously get 120 rwhp with a pipe i think i need another RR

well, im sure Chandler's bike has more than just a Leo system.

Initial report:

Sounds nice and deep...Love the look, etc. BUT...

Seems pretty loud without the baffle installed...Not bad...Just like a RACE pipe. I may try the baffle to see how quiet it is...Fine for the track or most people...Maybe I am getting OLD...I am also used to using ear plugs on the racetrack. Maybe that's all it is...

I don't remember the mirrors buzzing at all...They do around 6K and up...

I never have ridden a stock 600 that power wheelies up so easily...Roll-on and at about 8-9K the wheel comes up. No effort at all...What a mid-range!!

Love the bike...

03-30-2007, 12:07 PM
dayum, that looks dirty!! Good job, that carbon fibre may look good on Ms. Charlene being all black and all.

03-30-2007, 12:14 PM
sexy sexy pipe man.

03-30-2007, 12:27 PM
That's a great looking pipe!

+1 on the FE kit though...

03-30-2007, 12:32 PM

03-30-2007, 12:58 PM

03-31-2007, 06:07 PM
is this the sbk factory, or sbk factory evoII?

03-31-2007, 07:32 PM
All they sell now is the EVO II...The only difference is there is a removable baffle with the EVO II...I was told by Leo USA that this is the only model for sale here...No extra charge for the baffle...I removed it..It is fairly loud. I am going to try the baffle and see how much quieter...

LOVE the exhaust though...Quality is top notch.

I have also asked why there is only a Leo emblem on the left side...I will get another emblem and install it on the right side...

would you compare it to the previous leo vince slip on for 05-06 if you've hear that one before... louder/quieter/any difference?

03-31-2007, 07:57 PM
or any other exhaust for that matter..

04-01-2007, 07:04 PM
How do you like the sound on it? That's my favorite exhaust right now I just can't decide on whether to get the slip-on or the full system. I don't know if it's worth all that extra cash if I'm only using my bike for the street.

04-01-2007, 08:01 PM
If its only a street bike just get a s/o.

04-01-2007, 08:02 PM
Any sound clips yet?

04-01-2007, 08:08 PM
Oh man, I really like the looks of this exhaust...have you gotten a chance to put some miles on it yet? If so what's the word???????

04-01-2007, 08:09 PM
Nice hows the sound?

04-01-2007, 08:11 PM
looks like a nice clean fit. Good choice. Hopefully you can get some sound clips

04-01-2007, 08:32 PM
I really like it...

It sounds nice and deep...But suprisingly louder than most of my race systems (on my race bikes)...I have the baffle OUT...You can have it either way. I have not tried it with it in yet...It is not obnoxiously loud, just louder than I thought it would be being only a slip-on. I have had a full Moriwaki on my 03' race bike...It is easily louder than the slip-ons on my 05' R1. A good deep sound though.

I am all about performance...BUT I really do not see the need for a full system on a street bike...You may actually lose a few HP down in the rev range (with a full system) since on the track you need more HP up high...You want more HP down low on the street...My .02.

I do not know how to do sound clips...School me on this!

04-01-2007, 08:33 PM
Does you camera support mpeg videos with sound?

04-01-2007, 08:37 PM
Yes it does movies...

04-03-2007, 07:54 PM
Here is a good link for the Leo I have...

Doesn't make much more power...But it is at least a "true" graph...It's just the slip-on...

Check out the sound clip! That is what it sounds like...

04-07-2007, 09:49 AM
Sounds like a plan...I am going to meet my buddy first @ 434 and I-4. We can get off @ 436 and ride out there...if you can hook up with the 408 or 417, you may avoid some of the street traffic; otherwise, hopefully look forward to meetin' all of you this wed:shakehand

Ride well...

04-08-2007, 12:07 AM
There isn't much traffic on 436 at 8 at night, at least not the past 2 nights.
