Hey everyone,
I am about to pick up a 07RR in a little over a month once I get back from school. I haven't taken the MSF course yet because I signed up late and no classes were available until late August. I'm planning on getting my permit have my uncles teach me how to ride. I'm also going to try and get into the MSF classes by walk-in but if that doesn't work I'll be forced to wait until my class in August to get licensed. I have only ridden twice on my friend's EX250 but I have fallen in love with sportbikes. I know the RR is a helluva first bike but hopefully with respect, it doesn't snap back at me. I have already bought gear for this summer but I'm still waiting on boots. I got a HJC AC-12 bare carbon helmet, Alpinestars SMX gloves, and Icon Accelerant jacket. I can't decide which boots to get yet but I'm leaning towards the Sidi Corsa's.
I know my first priority should be learning but I also want a few mods this summer. My plans are frame/bar end/swing arm/front fork sliders, HIDs, rearsets, and my trackgear this summer. Sliders are obviously for protecting my investment, HIDs are so I can be seen easier at night, and the rearsets/trackgear are for trackdays. Next summer I plan to get a full exhaust, PC, fender elim, flush signals, wheels, and mirror blockoff plates for when I go to the track.
I have a few questions:
1. Do you have to have your license in order to participate in track days?
2. What kind of interest rate do you think I'll get from Honda?
I only have 3 months of credit (credit card payments) and I'm currently a student. I've held my current job for 2.5 years and I'm 19 years old. I was approved for $2200 on my first credit card and have never missed a payment and I've always paid WELL over the minimum.
3. When I eventually do trackdays will a Soumy Spec-1R Extreme helmet, Dainese Pedrosa 1 piece race suit, Alpinestars SMX gloves, and Sidi Corsa boots be enough protection or will I need a back protector?
Sorry for the long post everyone, I just wanted some input from people with experience!

EDIT:
I just realized that you need gloves that cover your entire wrists for track days so my SMX gloves won't cut it. Can anyone suggest a good glove?
