Hello peeps.
I'm looking to get my arse into gear and start getting the bike ready for it's first outing.
So the best incentive, is to book a trackday.
I'm looking at Donny GP, Wednesday 26th March with no limits. FULL NOISE :hello2: for a bargain at £129.
So what say you?
Anyone up for it?
morpheus20170 03-06-2008, 05:56 PM Brands Hatch is closer for us guys down this way Mook and cheaper too through MSV which I am looking at doing early April
Brands Hatch GP is high on the list, so are countless indies eveings.
I just got myself booked, places are going fast and need have a good shakedown on the bike. Fingers crossed it's not raining. Has rained everytime I've been there. No wonder more people are immirgating to the south
Let me know when you're at Brands and I might come along.

Gutted I'm missing out on those open pit lane sessions but I'm already hard pushed to have the bike ready in 2 weeks.
Will book an indie session for April and keep you posted mate.

I've done trackdas with nolimits before. They are definiely the most relaxed outfit.
Inters is fully booked, so I am afraid I'm in the fast group too now. It will be the first time for me on track for 5 months, on a new bike, with many new tasty bits I am not used too.
I'll definitely look you up Ash on the day and try get some riding tips.
Cheers
Midwood Racing 03-09-2008, 07:59 AM top man (y) will be nice to see you in person and not in a crazy lean anglse like ur dp :) any way carnt wait to see u there u ever been to malllory?
Never done Mallory.
Get sick in the stomach watching the BSB boys going around it let alone riding it.
Just over 2 weeks to go, can't wait.
Done Donny GP once. Braking down to the hairpin always unsettled me. I prefer the National and flicking it down the chicane.
Might have the bike painted by then, otherwise it will black bike with with white wheels.
adamcbr 03-10-2008, 02:18 PM hi guys im from the brighton area ad have only been riding a few months.
really wanna do a track day and hopefully learn abit more :)
just affraid of dropping my beloved bike as i have really skrimpt and saved to afford it any suggestions ???
Best thing I can say is to ride at your own pace and not get fazed by the fast lot around you.
There's a fair few threads on track preparations here so take a peek.
It's not common for first timers to bin their bikes on their first outing.
Well it was wet as you like, slippery as a greased penguin but hay that's UK weather for you.
It didn't dry up until the final two sessions. By then, most people had left so had the track almost to myself. Was great to go out there and just put some laps on the bike but never felt too confident as I was it was the first outing for her and the first for me in 2008.
Ash, was great meeting you mate and don't be coy about sharing your racing success with the rest of the forum board!!! Keep us posted!
Turney 03-30-2008, 06:27 AM I was at Donny on 28th March. Drove a couple of vans up with mates on Thursday and it was beautiful weather. Just light cloud, sunny and warm. Woke up to wet track and it was raining all morning until 12.30. Track was only really dry for the last two sessions. Lots of people binned it throughout the day, but mostly got away with it, just got covered in mud and gravel. I had a pair of crap brand new Dunflop tyres which were terrible but kept it upright. Back tyre was breaking at every opportunity, had it bouncing off the red line down the start finish straight on more then a few occasions. Half the inter group around me were on full wets so I spent most of the day going backwards, not so much fun but hey ho.
Will be at Brands on 24th April. Roll on the good weather!

paul46rider 03-30-2008, 06:40 AM you should try and change it for the 15th, me and mook are riding at brands on the 15th
Turney 03-30-2008, 06:59 AM I've booked that date as my mate is an instructor and I'm hoping to pick up some tips from him. I need to learn a bit of track craft, work on corner entry lines and exit speed. Looking foward to getting out on track with him. He is working for one of the junior BSB Supersport teams this season so his dates are very limited.
