Anyone ever try these/seen these/know anything about them?
I know woodcraft and shogun are the favorites, but these looks like they incorporate a new technology idea in them. Look pretty sweet too. My bike's an 09RR if that helps with anything...these are for 09-11's.
On the Spiegler website the sliders for the 09+ are about 1/2 the price as the 07/08. This could be due to not needing/having and mounting brackets. However under the "position" column it is listed as motor just as it is on the 07/08s. Give them a ring and find out.
IMO, they look nicer in the pic then when they're installed. Thanks for the links/input everyone. Feel free to keep adding to this if anyone out there has some 2cts to add in.
I run them on our shop bike. Absolutely great sliders, however, they do mount several models to the engine covers and those models I wouldn't recommend. Little 8mm bolts are not designed to absorb the energy of a crash imo. All the other models (most all of them) that attach to the normal frame slider/engine mount points are absolutely great frame sliders.
They only mounted to the cases because everyone wanted no cut frame sliders. Now that the cases are covered on the 09+ they figure if you have to drill a hole anyways, might as well anchor it to the engine bolts properly. I know when I look for sliders for my 07 I always look at 09+ options
downside is all 600RR's have low motor mount points & they are hard to protect good regardless of whats on there.
