Sup,

Well the modding bug hit hard and fast.
Within a week of getting the bike I was already licking my lips at the possibility of getting some new pipes.
Wasn't until a good month later however that my wallet had enough Sir Monash in it before I could start.
Anyway, the following is a record of my dream build for my dream bike. I can't deny, it is my pride and joy, to the point that my gf will prob leave me soon.
Pfft...

Enjoy and remember, I will be happy to answer any questions you have, post any pic you want, lap up any critic that you may provide (ideas welcome).
~Nick

1) Like a Virgin:
So here she is, all sweet and innocent.
Rolled off the floor and back to my house with only 3.2km to the dial.

2) The opposite to virgin…
I finally got a tail tidy for the bike.
Sure it's not the best looking thing ever, but beats the hell out of the stock tongue looking thing my plates attached to...

Didn't take too long to install.
Was somewhat nervous considering it was my first time messing around with the bike, but I like the end result:

Before (ugry):

During:

After:

3) Anderson Stand:
Went to local stealership today, picked up a Anderson rear stand and some frame pegs.
Was expensive as fcuk, but figured it was worth it as about to order a Hyperflo and don't want to be relying on my kickstand during the install...

Dude, your bike is...well....my bike. Check your garage.

Had you for a second didn't I?

Great modding my man. If I was still in Melbourne it would have been great to go for a ride together. Keep the mods coming, the CF is to drool for.

Thanks mate, if you ever find yourself in Aus again, hit us up :D

Definitely will.

Have you ever tracked your bike before?
Nope, not yet  mostly due to a lack of time.

I have however done two 9 lap stints around Broadford Raceway in Vic, but that was on my uncles old Zx7...

Would love to take the RR out one day, would just have to strip her of all the bling first :p

Just out of curiosity are you planning on a power commander, a sprocket and chain upgrade as well? Engine case covers? Unless I missed those like a:retard:
I really like your build thread and was curious what else you had in mind to put on your bike. I have a black 09 and was looking at some similar upgrades +some you haven't done yet

My buddy had a hyperflo full system on his 03 600rr about 2 years ago, it can be done, but I don't know how. Ever since I heard that system, I knew I must buy a CBR,

Hyper-flo makes your sweet little girl sound like a monster waiting to break out of its cage. Beastly system.

I just looked at flights, its gonna cost about $2000 for a round trip if I fly out of dallas. So so tempted, when's the best time of the year to visit??

#101 ·
Hot, can't stand the cold.

#102 ·
Herm, well anytime is a good time if you visit up north, otherwise you only really have two/three months hot down south starting in November. It's like the opposite to the states.

Let me go check and see if I'm in QLD anytime soon for work, Goldcoast wont know what hit it ;D

Dang, I didn't know the seasons were opposite. Guess Im gonna have to wait till next year.

Gelling for real.

Got my Luimoto seat cover and gold gell insert today :eek:hyeah:

Looks the piece and should hopefully help my butt out a little when I head down the coast this week.

Above is the "2063103 cf black/gunmetal/silver/al black RR logo" it was the darkest they sold without getting anything custom stitched:

Big thanks to PJ Parts for these, shipped and delivered very fast!!

Also have a few more CF pieces in the mail so once they arrive, it's on to the break lines!

I'm thinking Spiegler after chatting to Moe about them... people have any other recommendations?

#112 ·
Will get some better pics of her soon once I give her a bath, but in the meantime here is with the Luimoto on :D

The gel insert feels slightly comfier to what I remember the old seat being.

A long hard ride will be the real test imo.

JK, fill us in on your 'other' ride Silent, I am pretty sure it is a black/silver GSXR1000.

Daymn, nothing getting past you two. Ya, its a black GSXR1k.

But don't worry, it's not mine... I mean, I'm not currently crying or dead in a ditch somewhere or raving about how much I love riding in my sandals and shorts, so how could it be?

Overall the ride is "ok", suspention is hard as fk tho, and as you can see, it's kinda uggo.

I like gixxers :) !!!!!

Loving this build. i have an 11 600rr and my biggest problem in terms of cosmetics is that swing arm. not the shape but the color, i feel it doesn't mesh with the theming of the bike. i picked up a factory effex graphics kit it covers most of both sides of the swing arm and it also runs down the side of the fairings. it looks great maybe something to look into

Finally got to spend some time in the country... and therefore could work a little more on my bike :D

Unfortunately, the LED's in my right headlight started to blow, so I contacted Borka and he fixed me up quick smart with some side emitting ones as a replacement.

Here they are installed alongside the flexible strips:

Side emitting:

Flexible:

Both sides replaced:

I'm much happier with the side emitting LED's, they are also near invisible when powerd off which is a big plus imo.

Also picked this up when was in HK, better fking work... but that's next weekend's job
