As some of you know I recently purchased an 05 with a the old style 2 brothers slip on. It is annoyingly loud and has massive drone while driving. Would the two brothers repack kit fix this issue or should I look into getting a quieter slip on (RS5). Keep in mind I'm no longer into loud pipes and I dont care to wear ear plugs. I Just want some opnions from people who have repacked a can. Obviously the repack kit is cheaper than the RS5 and that is a big plus in my book. I tried to search but nothing really came up.
Just a quick update. After inspecting the exhaust, I went ahead and ordered the 2 bro's repack kit. The inside looked burned up and toasted. I really hope this fixes my problem. I'll keep everyone posted.
i dont think their is a such thing as a quiet two brothers... that just my 2 cents those exhaust are just obnoxiously loud...personally dont even think they sound good

Yes its a C5, I got it all repacked today using the two brothers packing kit. It is still loud but atleast it dosent sound like a tin full of bees now. Its hard to describe the differance in sound. Maybe what I'm trying to say is that is is less raspy. Either way I'll probably sell it as I want a carbon fiber yosh rs5 as I prefer the way they look and sound. What would you say the c5's sell for? It's goning to take forever to get to the 100 post mark so I'll probably post it on CL.

the over all process was quite easy. I just removed the tail fairing, removed the heat shields and brake side rear set (used a bungy cord to hold it up as not to break the brake switch, but left everything hooked to it). Then I removed the s pipe and muffler as one unit. After that detach the muffler from the s pipe. Next you need to drill out the rivits. On mine I did both ends. Use a rubber mallat or equievelent (sp) to knock off and remove the end caps. Take out the existing packing. Replace with new packing (I left the stainless steel pad thing on and put the new packing over it). Replace end caps and rivit them on. Reinstall everything in the opposite order as you took it off.
