Glad everyone's ok or getting there. Got a taste of this type of dmg when the tornadoes hit us 2 years ago. After a couple days you just get sick to your stomach at the damage and mostly by what ppl turn into. Had pricks here filling up 100gallon drums to sell gas for $100 for 10 gallons. We actually had utility workers from here go up to help couple days ago and got told to go home b/c they were not part of the union. Does anyone know if we had any members that were hit hard by the storm?
I had called Alan (thingamajig)to make sure he is ok he took it upon himself to check on the fellow NY members he knew and thank God they were all ok which is great
What i find funny is that we have some internet bada$$'s who think they been through the biggest storm, but truth to that matter is you would be scared even if it wasn't a category 4 hurricane. Ny is damaged because we're not used to this kind of weather along with the tri-state area. So give up your bickering and crying about how the storm is blown out of proportion. It was devastating to people who lost their homes, cars, loved ones, and etc. Show a little remorse before you go ahead of yourselves thinking you know it all, obviously you didn't. I rest my case.

I am in Middlesex County and found myself very lucky and luckily we really did not get any rain. Lost power for almost 48 hrs. Was prepared with a Honda generator. Its hard to believe what the shore looks like. Haven't seen anything in Forked River yet but my Aunt had a beach house there that has been destroyed. Half the town still doesn't have power nor does my work but been open. almost unbelievable!
Day after Sandy went around a took a few pics close by
across the street from me where i normally park my car
both of these were about a block over
