Since having the rearsets... I had to delete the aluminum exhaust leg shield. Been feeling VERY warm around the right leg.. guess having "just" the plastic shield isn't gonna cut it.... so I opted to wrap the back side w/the same shielding as the underseat.. came out pretty good.

At work, my boss sensed that I was stressed out.. so he gave me the day off.. and what a GREAT opportunity to make a visit to Race Tech @ Corona, CA. for the suspension tuning/setting...

They did some minor adjustments on the settings based on my "riding" description... man.. it rode to exactly what I wanted it to ride like! The downside though.. at cruising speeds.. it's a bit bumpy/stiff! guess I gotta make that sacrifice.. right now it's dialed in for Freeways!

Thumbs up Upgrading the Brake section..

* 8/3/2012 *

Black Spiegler brake line package came in from TCPS, at the same time w/the Rizoma black fluid reservoirs (F/R) from PJ's parts.com <-- link to where I got the reservoirs

I still need to get the brake line feed tube(prolly clear) & black banjo bolts before I can do the install..

Cool Flat Foot the CBR

* 9/4/2012 *

Since I'm not planning on doing any canyon carving, or taking on the corners aggressively... I've decided to lower the bike..... but I dunno how low.. so instead I've opted to try out this FULLY ADJUSTABLE lowering link (stock ~ 4") I found @ Ebay.. also says it comes with lifetime warranty... so we shall see...

I'm thinking about doing 1'... I don't need it that low...

Dunno much about the Vendor.. just that they're located here @ Cali.. but if you click on the word "ebay" it'll take you directly to the item.

Thanks... that would be the reflective-black "wings shadow" kit from www.Tapeworks.com You can choose different colors for it... my original plan was to have it reflective orange and my rims PC orange too... but I went with black.. the most common color.... to be safe..lol

Very nice bike. Love EVERYTHING about it ... except the blue lights. Not my preference.

Apart from that it's easily one of the best, if not the best, bike I've ever seen. Love it.

Did cutting the pipe change the note/performance at all?

Yeah.. it kinda did (the note)... when I shortened the canister, I didn't shorten the packing length... making it a bit more quiet, yet loud enough for traffic-goers to hear you.... plus the "take-off" sound is like candy to my ears

For the performance wise... I'm not sure if it did anything... kinda feels the same to me, so I can't really tell...

Still collecting parts...

I'm still slowly trying to collect some parts before I begin to install the SS B-lines & reservoirs... plus I haven't made a visit to Hoseman yet for the brake fluid feed tubes... but now that the weather is starting to be "Not-So-Great-2-Ride In!"... I can start installing crap real soon..

{ All the crap below was purchased from my local Motorcycle shop... TCPS }

* 9/13/2012 *

Purchased an Yana Shiki Adjustable Kickstand to compliment the adjustable lowering link.. (black of course)

* 10/3/2012 *

EBC Sintered Brake Pads for the front brakes x2 (rarely used the rear, so no need to replace)

* 10/11/2012 *

Since I need to take the lower fairings off for the lowering link install... I figure might as well do an oil change... HONDA FULL SYNTHETIC!!

~ Honda Full Synthetic oil
~ Honda oil filter
~ Bike Master black steel Magnetic Drain bolt (for that added protection from the inside!!)

My turn signals still flash @ a hyper rate.. and even though a resistor did come with my TST IT kit... I chose NOT to use it since that one particular resistor type are KNOWN to super heat up and melt nearby plastics... SO... walking around the shop (TCPS) I saw this nicely made resistor to use for my baby...

I still need to get a feed tube for the brake fluid.. plus I sent out 1 banjo bolt for black anodize.... so install this weekend is out!

Damn dude, lookin good!!

Interested to know how you find that Shiki Kickstand. How far out can you adjust it to? easy to adjust on the fly?

Also if needed: Relay - its awesome as it can be wired in to beep when you forget to turn the indicator off after a period of time.
Had it for about 9 months now, no worries so far. Running about 4 LED plus integrated on mine.

Thanks! but if this were to be my "daily".. I wouldn't have modded the bike to this extent!..

I ran into that kickstand at my local motorcycle shop... TCPS (Temple City Power Sports).. they had one in stock for me to look at.. to adjust it, you would have to take the spring off the bolt from the back of the kickstand... un screw the allen bolt out.. adjust to desired length, then bolt to secure..

I measured the kickstand.. the length of it is 6 inches.. and can extend out another 3 inches... aint cheap either (cost wise)

Post Final parts collected for Brakes install

* 10/23/2012 *

I wanted to make the bleeding process a bit easier... so I went to Harbor Freight after work and picked this up for $24

* 10/26/2012 *

The weather was pretty great, so I rode my bike to work... during lunch time, I had taken her out to run some errands.. when I was done, I geared up and all,... only to run into a dead battery!! doh!

So I thought it was about time I upgraded that! Got jump started, and headed to TCPS & picked up a Shorai battery FTW!!!

NO MORE DEAD BATTERIES!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA

* 10/29/2012 *

I finally tracked down the clear feed tube for the brake fluid/reservoir. I purchased it @ Power Barn..

I also picked up some top-notch brake fluid for the Rizoma reservoir(s)

FYI: 8mm is the size of the tube if you guys are asking/thinking about replacing yours...

I should hopefully get the chance to start installing by this weekend.... I'm still waiting for my double banjo-banjo bolt to come in... but I think I should kinda start installing while I wait for it to arrive...
