Full face, damage free helmet: DOT, ECE, or SNELL approved is required.
Gloves with full wrist coverage, such as gauntlet gloves are required.
Over the ankle riding boots are required.
One piece or two-piece zip together leathers. Two-piece zip together textile is allowed in Novice only. Keep in mind that leather is the most abrasion resistant gear. Gear must provide full coverage and have reinforced/padded elbows, shoulders, knees and spine/back areas. Hip padding is also recommended.
Back protector is highly recommended for all groups and a requirement for Intermediate and Advanced groups.
If you ride like an ass, chances are good you are going to screw up and it is going to hurt..so why not attempt to make it hurt less with leather? Otherwise, anything is better than jeans and a t-shirt. One way of looking at it I suppose..lol
