American Suzuki Files Bankruptcy
Monday, November 05, 2012
In a long predicted move, American Suzuki filed chapter 11 bankruptcy today in California. Suzuki announced via press release that they intend to stop selling automobiles in the the US.
Suzuki will continue to sell motorcycles and ATVs in the US.
Took a while for that to happen I think. I remember when I was car shopping for my gf's next vehicle looking at a Swift. Decent price but the gas mileage was horrible for an economy sized car. That made me look at the rest of the line up and just wonder how below average cars with little to no appeal can survive in today's market.
That mean Suzuki's return to the paddock imminent?

wern't their bike side struggling too for a long time, I wouldn't be surprised if that goes, but I've never felt the suzuki quality is near honda, why i've never owned one but i'd like to try the 11+ 750 as the 2010 one wasn't as good as i hoped
they've always felt a bit 'made in china'...you know the old days made in china not the new about to dominate the world china
just go flick their fairings sound like bin plastic, maybe its just me, thin engine paint as well
When my dad was global manager for federal mogul(ferodo) he had to lay off alot of people when they went into chapter 11....then he got laid off eventually to, and now they're out of it and I'm sporting ferodo pads on my bike
so you never know, he chose not to go back when they offered though, oh well
well thank god they will continue selling bikes...

I answered: "Because, Bruce Lee is no joke."
With today's competitive compact car market im surprised they lasted this long. I cant remember the last time i saw one on the road to be honest, sad but true
