cause of the storm and there being no gas i had to put 87 in my bike. whats should i do now should i drain it and fill it with the 92 or is there sometime i can get to add in the gas?
If it was my bike or car I would run to your local Auto Parts store and pick up some octane boost. It certainly couldn't hurt. Something like this will balance out the grade.

in the '03 manual it says you can run as low as 86 octane (if u can find it lol) i've been running 91 in my '03 all summer cause its a semi high compression motor and its at least 110-120 degrees everyday in az during the summer. now that the high's are down in the 80's i'm switching to 89 octane. i probably wont go down to 87 even tho it's "fine" to run
premium is about an extra 60 cents a tank, 89 is an extra 30 cents. cheap insurance against detonation/knock
i'm a turbo guy so im use to high octane fuel, so i may be biased.. lol

I'm in the same situation man. Had to put in 87. It should be okay though. I hope this situation really improves. Sucks having to limit where you go to save gas.

I thought I read about our cbrs having a sensor or something I don't even remember . But it stops engine knocking from low octane fuel..? For situations just like yours
Well guys 87 was not good, my bike was starting funny it wasnt starting right away like it alway does but once i put some octane boost it was better. So i made sure to go for a long ride to burn it all out and then filled up with my usual octane
