So I'm stealing this from another forum but it was one of the best threads I have come across in quite a while. That is if you douche's share!
Basically, tell us something you do that is OCD or you think only you do that no one may notice.
My Examples:
1. Left glove and left boot first.
2. I check the garage door at least 3-7 times to make sure it's locked.
3. I always have to drink water AFTER I finish my food, never during a meal.
4. I absolutely CANNOT stand having the windows partially down/open while driving the car. Either all or nothing.
5. In the morning when I get to work I have a routine, can't mess that up.
6. I have to wear ear plugs when I ride. If I run out I will stop at the next pharmacy/store and buy them.
7. If I fart and and it stinks really bad then I start to laugh at my own accomplishment.
8. When I go for a long ride, I pretend to be a tour guide and talk useless nonsense about the town that I've previously never been in. If it's an OLD small town I'm British. If it's a ghetto town I'm Jamaican. Just to keep myself entertained since I don't listen to music.
9. When I am pitting out on the track I have to tell myself 'Two laps' to warm up the tires. If I start to get tired towards the end of the session I yell in my helmet and
10. When riding on the street I always press the turn signal every few mins to make sure it's off. Sometimes when I have to fart I say 'FIRE' and click the button then proceed to release the pressure like it's a missle.
That's enough for now.... I know people have some funny stuff to share....
Haha talking to yourself while riding through towns i do that to
I have an obsession with pulling in the clutch and blipping the throttle a few times and turn my head to the side so i can hear the exhaust really well lol
I always hold my breath coming up to stoplights until i flip up my visor (used to be to avoid fogging, but now it's a habit even when it's warm, lol)
I also check for 7th gear frequently
I do the swervy thing to help warm up tires, even after finding out it doesn't really help.
I have never done the tour guide through towns (lol) but i do frequently talk to other drivers inside my helmet. (not just the usual thanks or cursing, i start whole conversations with other drivers, lol)
I always blip down 1 too many gears for my speed and my rear wheel locks for a second.
Thats all i can really think of right now... Not too weird i don't think.
I use my blinkers AFTER passing someone but never when i start the pass.
same as wckdintentions...i swerve back and for to warm up my tires even though i know it doesn't do anything. although i still feel its good to get all the crud of your tires when you start out

I always press the blinker's release button three times while riding with no reason... I think I started to do this to avoid leaving the blinkers on... I guess it just became an obsession...
Before starting my ride i touch all my body to check if anything is loose or if I'm forgetting money, cell phone or keys...
In a red traffic light if I'm singing inside my helmet I usually follow my own rithm with the throttle... I love this, but I don't think the rest of the people sharing the streer do to... hahahaha

I do the first 2 and think the third is hilarious. Maybe if I was on a bike at the same light and knew the song I would have joined in .
Some more:
- Check for 7th,
- Whenever there is an entrance/exit to the road I am on, I flicker the highbeam on and off so fast that it freaks people out at times showing them how serious I am.
- I instantly turn the hazards on when I feel that I have to break slightly harder than usual to keep those behind me alert.
- I always stop myself from giving the middle finger to whoever cuts me off........but a couple of days ago I broke this promise to myself
- I avoid any markings on the road, even rubber; just anything!
- I always look at my bike when I pass by it on foot, in the car, whatever.
Gear:
Arai Vector 2
Rev'It! Tarmac two piece suit
Held Phantom
Sidi Vortice Air
Sas-Tec back protector
Spidi Warrior chest protector Co-President of Team46
- always eat my fries before my burger or whatever they came with
- put two tea spoons of sugar in my coffee and then add just a pinch more
- keep checking if all my air vents on my helmet are open, I constantly check
- when I drop friends off I do a quick scan of the car to make sure nothing was forgotten or garbage left behind
-
I check my pockets for stuff 3 times whenever I go out and I only check for my cellphone, wallet and keys. Everything else I can pretty much do without.
1: when I'm sitting down.
2: when I'm leaving.
3: when I'm on the bike.
I always "read a magazine" before I check meselfs out in 'da mirrorz.
I sit on my front porch for 10 minutes every morning while drinking my coffee before I can decide which bike to ride for the day.
I always make my buddies double check my texts before sending one out while intoxicated regardless of how....... inappropriate said text might be.
I put my pants on two legs at a time.

if you blip down 1 to many gears, then slipper clutch is a good investment haha

1) I check for 7th gear all the time, even if i did it 3 minutes ago i always check anyway
2)I always rev the throttle at a red light if I am sitting in neutral(bad habit i know!) right before shifting back to first
3)I do the swerve thing when it is really cold out like many have mentioned, but mostly to try to keep debris clean of the tire
4)90% of the time i rev the bike going under a bridge of sorts since I changed the exhaust, or accelerate when I am in a tunnel
5)like the OP, i drink after I have eaten, not during
6)i often stop, and look at my bike right before I walk inside my house, and just pause to stare
7)i always feel like when I have to fart on the bike, that the seat seals your a$$ and i feel the need to life up my butt to do so
8)i often hum the rpms in my helmet as I ride
9)if i have headphones in I bob my head ALOT as the other passer-bys stare at me.
10)i try to give a thumbs up instead of a middle finger
11)i always feel the need to stand up while riding to fix my junk regardless of traffic
i'll post back when i think of more

Already did!! Hahaha...
One weekend riding with I friend of mine, he started to make his bike sing "I love rock n'roll"... And as soon as I figured out I followed the rithm...
Maybe we can call it "alternative ways of communication for the helmetted people"
XD

I always point for pot holes with my toes that I swerve to miss, even when I don't have buddy's following me.
I always check for 7th sometimes twice or three times.
I always adjust my helmet to make sure it's sitting properly.
I always hit my blinker after I pass a car, but always way in advanced for a turn
I always tap my break several times before a turn so cars behind me see my break light flashing
I always talk to myself in the helmet. Just about things in town or anything really
I always rev twice just before accelerating just to let fellow riders know we're about to go, even if I'm alone
I always turn my key on, let all the numbers go to zero, wait exactly 3 seconds on zero before starting my bike, then wait till my bike is completely warm before riding it.
I turn off my bike always by the key, never the kill switch. I feel like its cutting out the motor or something. I hate when my buddy's do that.
I'm always looking around me constantly. Behind me to my sides and always paying attention to how people are driving.
I've got many more I'm just not thinking right now.
Hahaha i love this thread!
I
-fix myself in traffic
-swerve (not only to clean tires but bc theres a slow car in front of me and im bored)
-talk to myself! (I thought i was the only one! This made me feel more sane) hahaha
-when im riding in a town or what not with alot of buildings that have windows i always look to see my reflection to see how sexy my bike is ir how i look riding since i never see how i look.
-i always give a thumbs up/head nod to nice cars or cops just to show respect.
-check for 7th, if no 7th, downshift... Ride for alittle and pretend to ahift to 7th but actually go to 6th.... Only on long highway rides.
-clean my bike as many times as i can **** white wheels... Wash my car very often too.
-never ride after eating a full meal bc i feel like i cant move so i wait as long as i can....
