The main issue at hand is to not let the chase , arrests, lock down die keep nagging CHP call them every day and ask about the progress in this case become a pain in their necks otherwise you won't get any where with them

Tribal,if I'm not mistaken you should have some legal rights to take action against the seller since he mislead you on a sale and tampered with VIN in order to make the sale. Definitely contact a lawyer and get a conultation. Most lawyers charge around 150 for a consultation and can help you figure out your situation. Atleast then you'll know your full rights on the situation.

is there any fellow rider that is a lawyer? or try finding out if there is an attorney in ur area that is a motorcycle rider and might be willing to give you advise for free?
i remember when i had my CTS, another member who was an attorney totally went out of the way, not asking for a penny and helped me get info and advised on what steps I needed to take with my issue at that time - something to look into for sure

make sure you stay on top of it, if you don't it might not be close enough to even be on the books to get looked into with the PD, hope you can get a good person there that you can deal with and get some answers!!!
