Upgrading for next riding season

Hey there, took MSF in April, after wanting to learn how to ride since I was about 16 (I am 31 now ><). Bought a ninja 250r and got almost 10k miles on it by October (rode that thing everywhere). Now I am wanting to upgrade to a CBR600rr or a GSX-R600, basically depends on what I can find I like and can get a good deal on.

Right now I am looking at an '08 CBR600rr that looks like it got tipped on both sides. Lots of cosmetic damage but it does not seem any mechanical damage, but that cosmetic damage is pretty rough. However it is also $5500 with about 8k miles on it. Trying to decide if its a good enough deal to buy and just get new fairings. I would want a different color anyway, Black is not my favorite. I have a black truck and I am tired of washing that every week, dont need a second black vehicle to wash every week.

$5500 sounds like a bit for something with so much cosmetic damage. There's a flat black (i know lol) beautiful bike on sale on here for $5500 in perfect condition, like 3k miles on it, and comes with a Suomy helmet. Think it's an 07 as well. You should seriously look into that one. Where are you located? Welcome by the way. Just saying don't jump until you find the right deal.

Well I finally upgraded, just in time for first ride of the year, stupid MN winter that just wouldn't end. I ended up getting a 2007 red/black with 8k miles, and man what a difference. Just the power on tap is insane. I just don't get peoples need for 1 liter bikes when they just ride around the streets, usually really slowly. Anyway I am loving this thing.
