Did the same install last night... I put mine together (all springs too) on my work bench and installed it like a one piece header - why didn't you pull the radiator? Or did you?
how big of a sound difference do you get with the headers? lol

i have a kinda noob question... how come bike headers come unattached and get fit together with tight springs and auto headers are fully welded in place?? just wondering
I noticed that the collar isnt fully bolted down to that column on the engine casing. Is that fine?
Damn, Thanks for pointing that out RLNYC, but I think they just sit like that, but I'll look at it now.
BTW installing PC-V tonight - that install is way more of a bitch than the headers - Def have to pull bodywork, tank, air box and all those plugs omg! I should just do the PAIR mod since it's all apart right now.
Fuel-Moto set me up with a "Full race Arrow pipe" map on a PC-V for the 08. Should be sweet...

Im no expert...but there should be those copper crush gaskets....new ones should technically be used each time you put new headers on any engine. They are only a couple bucks each.

Why wouldn't you replace them? Theyre fairly cheap and it's better to replace them while installing the headers than to not replace them and find out you have a leak when your exhaust system is all bolted up.
I've ALWAYS gotten new gaskets. Dealers normally don't stock them and will have to special order them, so you might want to get your order in now so they'll be here by the time your headers come.

Ok. I'll order some tonight. Headers should be in late next week or early the following week. (they have to be shipped all the way from Cyclesector in San Diego to the Ottawa in Canada)
Hopefully there is no pending winter storm any time soon

Yeah, a lot of the time they get stuck up against the block. I had to pry mine out with a screwdriver, gently. Good thing copper is pretty malleable!
