Fren Tubo lines and G-Craft rear res installed

Just though I'd share a pic of the bike with the new kevlar lines and g-craft res installed. Big thanks to SlowBoy for the lines and Moe for the res!

Next up shaving the subframe extension that held the oem res on.

They lines have certainly improved the feel of the brakes. I have had to re-bleed the fronts again as after a week with the lines on they got a little spongy and some air bubbles had accumulated in the front master cylinder.

All in all I definitely recommend the upgrade fit and finish is also spot on!

Did you notice a significant increase in braking power with the new pads and stock rotors?

I am all for better braking power with the cagers that insist on driving with their eyes closed out there!

I'll get some closer shots on the res tonight, absolutely love it. Thanks for the comment on the helmet, originally had the dark smoke visor but the silver one looks so much better with this lid imo

You'll love the lines but if you haven't bled brakes like this I reccommend a 12 pack minimum of beer or a vacuum bleeder. I bought the vacuum bleeder and beer lol. I had to rebleed the fronts a week after installation from what I can only assume was air accumulating. since the second bleed (two weeks ago) they have been great.

Once I removed the passenger pegs the oem res really stuck out like a sore thumb so I had to relocate it. Here's a before shot:



The photo in my original post shows how hidden the gcraft res is behind the heel guard and here's a different angle that more clearly shows how it fits in (bad quality camera on the crackberry):

I searched for one forever and couldn't find one either. Got really lucky and bought one from a member on here.

No idea where to get one, sorry man!
