halos are connected to the low beam, but before the switch, not after the switch, so when you turn off the low beams with the added switch, the hid's turn off but the halos still stay on.

when you flip into high beams, you get high beams and the halos still stay on.

First of all I am done. Now I just have to waterproof the connectors, clean the wiring and reinstall my fairings and that should be it! Thank you for everyone who helped me through this! Onto the pictures and a few more questions.


This side's angel eye is not lighting up properly. You can see a faint blue glow there but it isn't as clear as on the other side. Why is this? Also seen in this picture:
EDIT: One of the white wires coming from the halo was loose in the connector. I managed to lock it in it's place and now they all work properly now.



Sometimes one or both of the xenons don't fire properly or they flicker while warming up. Is this normal?
EDIT2: This could be because some of the connectors may have been touching each other. I have to investigate further.

very nice! bike looks great.

I was going to reply and tell you to check the connection of all white wires, because if one is not connected then the halo ring will be very dim.

Take some nice outside pictures during the day/dusk if you can, post them here and i will add them to my website gallery.

My kit didn't come with the two mounting plates?But it did come with a silver triangle piece.Oh and another question,are the rear angel eyes supposed to have a pretty good gap all around the shroud?

Edit:It's actually two silver arrow-like pieces.

I am sorry about the mounting plates, i will mail them out to you tomorrow, they should have been included with the kit.

The rear angel eyes have about a 1mm gap, as they are 95mm in size, the smaller size is 90mm and its too small so we have to go with a 95mm ring, this gap is not an issue, once you glue them on with the clear silicone they will be very secure on the projector.

The triangle metal plates are ballast mounting plates, so you can secure the ballasts to any bolt on the bike, use those or the supplied 3m sticky pads, i include both to give my customers more mounting options.

I'm just gonna throw a reply to this as I was wondering the same thing when installing mine. Yeah with the back halos I sort of suspended around the shroud with the silicone. It's kinda tricky with one set of hands but you'll get it. I managed to get even spacing from the ring and shroud all the way around on both. Just silicone on the back of the ring and it looks tidy.

I've ran into a new problem.

Every now and then when I power up the bike, the left side white halo ring is very dim. To make it bright I have to disconnect the blue halo in front (same inverter) and then reconnect the blue halo. I double checked the wires today and they seemed fine. What could be causing this problem? What could I do to try to narrow down the possibilities?

Wow I feel dumb,I came to the step where it's time to test the projectors.Didn't notice I was using the final wire instead of the test lead.But I don't seem to have a test lead,can I just use the bottom wire in this picture to test it the same?

swap inverters from left side of bike to right and see if you get the same issue on the other side now. and if the issue is resolved on the broken side with the other inverter, this way we can see if its a weak inverter.
If it is, i will mail you a new one under warranty.

yes, you can use the long relay harnesses, just connect them to the battery, ballasts and bulbs, then if you hold the white wire to the battery + the hid will come on.

No effect. Using the inverter with only single output (demon eye inverter) every halo ring works fine so they should not be cracked. Because all the wiring stays same with only the inverter changing, the problem shouldn't be in the wires or connectors. I am baffled.

After closer inspection I did notice that the halo rings on the other side have the same problem every now and then. Also the red wires coming from both of the dual inverters have changed colour from bright red to pale red.

The red fading on the inverter wires is not a problem, its just color fade from heat, its not an issue.

You have the wiring all wrong.

For 03-06 600rr here is how you wire everything:




1. Connect both White low beam + to Low beam + pigtail
2. Connect both Blue high beam + to high beam + pigtail
3. Connect both Halo red + to low beam + pigtail
4. Connect both Halo black - to low beam ground - pigtail
5. all other connections self explanatory.

that's it.

Here is how to wire using a simple on/off switch to turn off low beam HID's to have only halo's on, or to start the bike with hid's off to avoid stressing the battery

white wires are not used, but i keep them there as with 3 prongs the plug plugs in more securely in to the socket, than with 2 prongs if i remove the white.

These are actually H4 plugs, and in a bike that has H4 bulbs then all 3 wires are in use, these bikes have H7 so only 2 wires are in use.

black wires are the ground wires, they can be used for the inverters as ground.

yes, you can clip them right at the plug if you want, the white wires dont go anywhere.

black wires you might need for ground, but if you are not using them then also its fine to cut them.

also cut off the bullet connectors from the white/blue wires on the harnesses, and use crimp butt connectors to connect everything, like in my picture.

very nice!

post completed pictures when you put the bike back together.

you can get a 3/4" drill bit, or a hole making bit, and then very slightly widen up the hole until the switches click in.

Finally done,but seems like I'm going to have to take 'em off again.

Seems I wasn't too thorough with the installation,there's some condensation at the very bottom inner corners of the lights. :(

did you reheat the existing glue before you closed the lenses?

dont be so quick to open them up, the headlights are designed to vent moisture out, so put it in the sun for an hour and the slight condensation will go away.

Happened to me for about 3hrs, left the bike in the sun after a wash and it was gone by the time I got back.

Have been riding in hot/cold/rain for months now and no further issues.

Nice blue halo btw!

haha, yeah this also happens to me every now and then, I just turn of the switch I wired it to and wait for 1 min, then turn on again (it's the gas in the halo not igniting correctly) you can also just wait for it to warm up and it will eventually get back to full glow. It's when the ring doesnt light up at all you should be worried..

Almost done with this project. The biggest pain I've had so far is getting the LED strip to stay in place while the silicone dries. I've used tape and pens to keep the strip in place, but the damn thing still finds a way to wiggle out. Guess I'm just trying to be a perfectionist on it. Next comes figuring out were to hide the inverters and how to route wires.
