LOL. Well I'm glad you live in an ideal world where all of your hits will be in the heart - me on the other hand, I'll deal with the imperfect reality and the workings of the human anatomy.
Heart would be ideal.
Center mass is awful big, luckily.
That's my target.
We train a lot with our side arms and it pays off when you need it most. The last shooting we had at our station ended with the bad guy loosing with an entire magazine in center mass. And this was from about 30 yards or so.

Ordered mine a little bit ago. It should be ready for pick up in a week! Test fired their range XDS an it was great! I personally shoot the Springfields well.

So I went to my local sports store and the ammo aisle was pretty much cleaned of ammo. I couldn't find any .40 target ammo and only a few boxes of hollow points. Going to a smaller shop today to check out what he's got and prices.
Nice! Can you ship me the 7.62 brass? I'm sure Uncle Sam won't notice a few thousand missing .

When it comes to ammo, always buy it cheap and stack it deep. I knew that the election would drive up the prices of guns and ammo, so to counter that, I stocked up on ammo at the beginning of the year. You could also look into reloading your own ammo, but that would be an expensive upfront purchase that will take time to payoff the cost.

And on a side note the shop I went to turned out to be little more than a guy with a garage starting his own business. He had all the proper licenses and stuff so he's legit. But he had awesome prices on ammo. An awesome selection of guns. And he was super nice. Turns out he has a long history of LE and is currently an ICE agent. Anyways he invited me to come shoot on his private range whenever I wanted and even offered to lend me guns to try out! Told him I would definitely be back. His son helps him run the place who is an ex army ranger / sniper. Can't wait to go shoot some guns with these guys and let them teach this amerature what I'm doing wrong and right.
Back in VA finally! Got to put my mags back together and remove the bullet buttons on my rifles. Also dropped off some stuff to my armorer and should have some cool new gear to post up soon. Also putting in paperwork for a Surefire SOCOM RC suppressor and a SBR as soon as I become a VA resident again with the DMV.

It's tough to go wrong with anything KAC or Surefire. Even though it's more coin, I like the SF much more than an AAC - it has a better locking system and you hear less stories of baffle strikes with the SF.

Iove my xd, then they made the xdm.... I'm stuck on .40's seems to be the best price and I shoot it very well. But I am looking to get the new xds .45 can't wit to get my hands one that thing.

I have been too lazy lately to look up just how easy it is to swap back and forth from the bullet button. Can you point me in the right direction with any info on it? I haven't seen any conversion kits on the websites I have looked at, but I also haven't looked too hard since I need to save up a little money before I buy an assault rifle.

All you need is the original release button and spring that comes in a lower parts kit. The bullet button simply unscrews, and you replace the parts with original. Not sure on a video, but look on youtube for how to assemble a lower and it will get you sorted out.

That is exactly why I want the Surefire can. They are pricey, but they are proven to be the toughest cans out there, and are extremely well built. I really like the new locking mechanism over the old one too, and their POI shift is very minimal.

Thanks man. So I am assuming if I go to a Cali store they will sell the conversion kits? There are too many good deals to be found outside of Cali so I might get one they convert it if that works out to be cheaper.

for all ya spring field XD, XDM . what kind of waist holster are ya using?
I had a chance to use a Blade-Tech DOH holster with my XDM. If I went with a standard belt/holster combo, that would be my choice. Do you plan on carrying outside or inside the waist?
Whatever you choose, stay the feck away from Serpa holsters, unless you don't value your leg .

Picked up my newest upper from the armorer today. He shaved down the standard front sight post to fit under the Knights Armament URX III rail and also parkerized it. I inquired about the new BCM compensator, and he said they should have them in stock soon and he put me on the waiting list.
He did an amazing job and turned it around in 4 days. I'm sure he is very busy given the current political climate and the fact the shop he works for is packed every day.
For those in the Northern Virginia area, the man is Robb Jensen (he is staff on m4carbine.net) and the shop is Virginia Arms co.
