The Black Sheep build
Hi all.
600RR owner in Iceland. Doing a build this winter on my 07.
My first bike, acquired a beaten up quarter mile (stock bike 600 female) record holder for cheap.
It has a Power-commander V + Autotune
Was going to make a streetfighter / Café Racer a la Hooligan but decided that I wanted to own a pretty regular custom instead :)
Plans:
REPAIRS both engine covers are beaten up
Paint (fairings+subframe+bits that need cleaning)
IT+Tail cleanup
Yoshi carbon (in the mail)
2wheels levers
Grips+barends
Reflective Rim Tape
Rearsets Vortex or might go cheap ebay
HRC Reservoir Delete
Black Windscreen
MORE...
GOAL
WHEN I BOUGHT IT
It had been crashed badly, non crooked, farings ALL messed up some helt together only with gaffer tape! , no barends, both engine covers fixed with welding, it was a mess... I plan to fix all that and more
It's currently naked without a tail in my garage, some plastic welding and paint is next!
Let's see how this goes...

I'd personally get some aftermarket fairings (or buy parts on here), new air filter, new chain (etc) and everything else you listed above.
Looks like fun, keep us posted sharq

haha, I could fire off around 4k worth of mods you could do to that thing if you really want...
How much you willing to spend mate?
You're off to a good start though, are you thinking about installing a HID kit or maybe some new break lines?

Stuff happening...
Little update Painted Clipons and accessories
Attached clutch lever (2 wheels)
In process - filling in broken front reservoir mount on front MC
Received - Black Ebay double bubble
Received - Carbon fiber wrap, going to be used for: Belly, front/rear fender, chain cover, small in-between plastics in side fairings and side plastics for upper cowl.
A rather pathetic update, but an update none the less - now things will start happening rather fast!

Just as a thought depending on how the buiild goes. Instead of getting aftermarket rearsets you could always get your stocks powdercoated and save some money.

I use Photoshop to do these rough mockups... I don't know of an app that does that.
There is a thread dedicated to CBR Photoshop
