Welp, I almost bit it today. I live in the Chicago suburbs, and it's been extremely cold, just had some maintenance done to the bike and got it back yesterday...when it was 35* out. So I was going to put the bike away okay but we got a random day of mid 60s, so I figured why not get one more day in before winter. Well then this tornadocane(okay maybe a bit of exaggeration. Storm) came through and everything was soaked. So I ended up getting out on the bike because most roads ended up drying off. To make a long story short I was waiting to pull out of a parking lot onto a 4 lane road, which felt like an eternity. So there comes a break in traffic I start making a left hand turn and I must have gotten on that gas a little too hard, cuz the back end came out real wide. I just eased of throttle and let the bike do its thing and I was on my way. Probably the closest I have ever come to going down so far, heart dropped a little bit. Sorry it was too cool of a story but I wanted to share anyways

Shouldn't this be in the almost crashed forum, not "Crash Boom Bang"? Lack of throttle control is an indication that you still (like all of us) have a lot to learn.
By the time you eased off the throttle it was already over and if you were going to go down it would have happened.

It was pure rider error, riding in the rain doesn't bother me I do it all the time. I knew I was giving it more throttle than I should have before the back end even came around. Dumb on my part knowing I was in it more than I should have. It didn't scare me a whole lot tho just cuz it was a familiar feeling from my dirtbike riding days
