How do you remove the aluminum looking rod that the bar end screws into? It snapped off right at the end of where the bar end screws into
it is #8 in the picture below
I recently took mine off. Spray WD-40 or PB blaster in te hole on the handle bar. Let is soak in. Then I drilled it with a small bit made a hole and screwed in a long thin screw than just use man power to pull it out.
If you take off the throttle tube, and the grips, it will expose two holes in the clipon that the clip that holds the inner weight in. press the clips in while a friend pulls outward on the weight.
btw the clips that hold them in are replaceable #11 in fiche.
