Not sure I'm sold on the design yet, but I did notice that the tank fairing will be easier to take off without taking the mids off to fully access it. It still has the clips, but probably won't have to spend much time unclipping it.
I like it but I want to know what about a slipper clutch .. if there is not a slipper then it should be priced way lower than competitors with slippers

hmmm it doesn't throw me off. I would need to see it in person to make my final decision of whether or not I like it. Also, I wonder if I can throw those rims on my 03.
I think the front end looks great. It's got a clean, simple, aggressive design that reminds me of what a lot of German car manufacturers are doing these days.
I agree this bike is probably "better" than the last gen, but I don't thinks its good enough to warrant ppl with an 07-12 to upgrade... There really isnt a lot that has been improved.
Let's be honest... The 636 is def the 600 to buy for 2013...
First thing I thought when I saw the update was I'm not paying new Honda prices for bpf, new maps. Nothing special at all here. I'll just do a few mods and get ready for next year save my cash. Kinda sucks for those who bought new 07's and have been waiting for some change for a couple years.

My complaints are superficcial really. dont like the swingarm or any silver for that matter. The verdict is still out on the fairings I have a feeling it my grow on me, but it doesnt matter my 07 is still sexxy.

Yea, that's the only good thing I've seen so far; definately getting a set for my 09. DDC would be worth the buy, but I doubt they added it.
If you had been here in '06 when we got the first pics of the '07 (you can search and see the posts) people were horrified. Some thought it looked like an R6, others said it was butt ugly. 95% of people said they were done with the RR.
People came around and realized it was a BETTER bike and the looks grew on us. Not a judgement on the new bike, just a reflection on past events. And yes, history does repeat itself.
I happen to really like it. And now you get a 600RR Repsol edition.
As for the '06 part, I wasn't here I don't know. But for every thing else said I agree with X. I think it looks pretty freakin' amazing myself, and a respol edition never hurt anyone.
Got to say I like the all red a lot, as well as the wheels, not totally sure about the nose but I'm sure it'll look different in person. At least they're still making them haha with all the rumors that were going around about it being disxontinued.
Not sure how I feel about the headlights... I have never really liked the big hole in the middle if the headlights for the intake... I like the intake ducts under the headlights like on the 03-06 RR's... Almost seems like the designers didn't know what to change when it comes to the front fairing and headlights
I'll be honest, in person the headlights do not do it for me. The bodywork is improved over my 07, and the tail, while great looking from the back, is kinda cheap looking up close and to the side. This is my personal opinion, but the bike overall looks pretty cool. I have yet to see the all-red one in person. Biggest surprise for me was how badass the new GoldWing bagger looks.
Didn't snap a pic, but it's exactly the same except the font of the numbers looks like those on the RSV4
Well that sucks, I guess Honda will only leave the best parts and options for the Fireblade. Oh well, not like I was in the market for a new 600 and this cements the idea of not trading mine in.
Bike looks cool, just not my cup of tea. I haven't ridden it so I can't say how well the updates work. My 07RR has tons of crap done to it now so I'm so phased out of the reality of the stock bike in trim I can't compare directly anymore. The headlights on this one look weird, almost trying to make a ceap copy of the Panigale.
The rims are awesome... if the BPF forks work as well as the CBR1000RR's, it's gonna kick ass. The tach looks much more attractive and the overall side fairing look is a bit more traditional. I prefer mine overall, but I DID have to put lots of money in it to get it there. I want to cop myself a set of '13 rims though...
