From the rear, the Repsol does look good though.

I just also realized this is the first 600RR without a position light. Not that big of a deal though.

I know this will probably get me flamed or banned from 600rr.net But I did so doing this at my own risk... (Like saying things such as sauce or fap, or talking bad about Gixxers)

I believe we can all agree on one thing, Honda has seriously fallen short of what we had expected. I think the CBR500 and CB500X are gonna be stellar bikes though. But I have to remind myself, this market for 600's is a much smaller, but it does no good to hasten the demise by putting chopped up bikes such as the 2013 cbr600rr on the market.

We were expecting something big, I was hoping for a revolutionary power plant, such as a 675 triple or a v-4, but instead got the same bike with 05-06 side fairings, a nose that someone took a sawzall too, and a set of big piston forks they had laying out in the back of the shed...

I think that Honda should do the honorable thing and pull out of the 600 market if they so desire to disgust us with this "thing". What is next, Gangland Logos courtesy of everybody's favorite Ghetto Cruiser on two wheels, the Suzuki "Gixxer"?

I did my best to work this thing over to make it look somewhat appealing, but I am at a loss of words... :(

Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki, better be worried about what they are gonna do when Yamaha releases the new 2014 R-675 triple and possibly 1100 R1 Triple. They will lose their minds as no set of cam alters "to improve mid range torque" will be able to thwart that three cylinder from explosively coming out of the corner like a bat out of hell and howling its way to the finish line.

If the headlights weren't so big the bike wouldn't be too bad. If Honda would have done a projector style light similar to the Ducati 848, I think it would look much better.

Not a fan of the solid color doesn't seem like the bike really has any lines to it. Like it just all runs together with nothing to break it up. Buttttt side exit exhaust is pretty trick

For now, my friends... If you want a bike that is going to give you bang for the buck, that is gonna wow and shock your friends that see it, and that is going to net you 80% or more resale value when you sell it two years later and with 5,000 miles. I highly recommend you go your own way...

Get you one of these, 2011-2012 Daytona 675R

I cannot wait to see the unveiling of the new 2013 Daytona 675 as it looks sleeker and sexier than ever before. And up from 123 to 126 horsepower to boot!

The most importance steps I ever took in life I will list below. From least important to most important.

3.The day I lost my virginity.
2.The day I became a Christian.
1.The day I put my two legs over the 675 triple and realized this was God's Testament to his Chosen Riders. ;)

I don't think you should be banned for the post, but you definitely shouldn't be allowed to comment on this thread anymore. Weren't you the one that stated there would be no CBR600RR in 2013? Didn't you claim to have "inside" information on that?

I don't dislike it. I just think the current 675R looks better. That being said, if I was in the market for a new bike and the Triumph wasn't an option, I would still buy the Honda over Suzuki, Kawi or Yamaha.

My friend is sales manager at the dealership at Cycle Nation in Huntsville Alabama and he delivered me the most grim response I did not care to hear at all. Honda is discontinuing the CBR600RR, except for enough units for homologation whatever it is concerning the racing crew and privateers. I asked him why this was and he said it was due to poor sales figures and constant losses. I asked him if possibly a 2013 hiatus would be followed with a 2014 new bike, but he told me the chances are few, unless the economy changes.

On the good note, we will see some new 500's and possibly another adventure bike, but no 2013 CBR600RR's on the sales floor. He also went on to tell me that 2013 would likely be the last year of the Yamaha R6.

I hate this, but I mean it is like I said before. If you build a bike, no matter how exceptional it is, and there are continual losses on investment, then you can't afford to build it anymore. Honda is in the business for profit, but in his words "the numbers just weren't there to merit a 2013 CBR600RR"

I wouldn't give a rats ass if it was that piece of crap gangland gixxer that everybody talks about, but I guess young hip hop riders these days only care about gangland graffics, polished frames, and extenz-a-swingarms...

He won't get banned for those posts. But any threads started that have a very narrow view on stereotypes will get locked.

The Repsol looks nice but the other colors are so boring.... Honda's colors and graphics gets worse and worse every change they make.

Why is it a losing battle? When did you ride the 2013 CBR600rr to know it will lose?

Just because it doesn't have more power and a slipper clutch does not mean it's a slower bike. Did you notice that Honda said it has 41mm “Big Piston” Showa fork and a new Unit Pro-Link suspension out in the back. Suspension goes a long way in the performance of a motorbike.

I'm actually looking forward to the new Triumph 675. That will be probably win a shoot out among the 600 class.

I'm just kidding around guys, seriously though if you really don't like the style of the new CBR600RR then this is the bike for you...

Or get it with 2013 hardware ;)

big piston forks, and antilock brakes. :) Yep all you!

Not impressed at all... the only thing I like about the 2013 thus far are the wheels and suspension, I honestly don't like anything else. The headlights look weird, side profile looks awkward and dated, never was a fan of the vents in the tail section they look cheesy. Lets see what else... oh hate the natural finish swing arm and frame it looks cheap and well unfinished... will definitely look else where if I replace my 07. Although I will admit the rear shot of the Repsol looks pretty sweet, I think Honda took a few steps back in the looks department.

I claimed to have "inside" information that was based entirely on the subjectivity of an individual in sales department at Cycle Nation in Huntsville. I did not fabricate what I said and given the extremely limited information we had on the 2013 CBR600RR it was almost apparently to the last minute that there were no hints, not a prototype picture, epa registration, nothing that would imply there would be a 2013 CBR600RR. Given the flow of information these days, it perplexes me how honda could keep such an important bike in the shadows for this long!

In a swing scenario, there were people who claimed they had "inside info" that there was going to be a 2013 CBR600RR and what if this morning, that had turned out to be falsehood? Would they deserve to be punished for their error in judgement?

Lastly, what do you guys think of this?

No my friend, word was they were going to commission the ghetto boys at Suzuki to build a bike to bear the CBR600RR nameplate, but they had issues in the handling department, not to mention the excessive use of brittle chrome resulted in poor build quality and very heavy unsprung weight...

See for yourself. This picture was spy shotted before they dip the whole bike in a chromium electrolysis plating.
