HELP with CCT install

ok so my dumb ass proceeded to remove the CCT to install a new one without first referring to this HOW TO section for help as i thought it was just straight forward.
then i realized that you need to set the engine to TDC before removing the CCT. once i realized this i reinstalled the CCT with a bit of tension and then set the engine to TDC, while doing this i head a slight pop ping and i dont know if this off set the timing or not. then i fully installed the CCT with full tension. so now what do i do from here. i dont want to start it and have it go kaboom on me..any help guys??..thanks

All I can say is be very careful. I didn't do the TDC when I did it and I didn't know. But idk what happened but a small bb ended up ruining my cylinder head and piston. So be careful!!!

Ya something like that. Tiny little thing. The werd thing is it was in the first cylinder. Opposite side of the cct. So idk what happened but I screwed up my bike and had to rebuild it. I learned not to mess with engines again. But I'm not trying to worry you. Just be careful dude. Lol

You better off asking Nico to confirm. When I took mine out, I had it at TDC. Cam chain tensioners is nothing more than a spring loaded levers that pushes the chain tightly around the gears. Take it out, turn the crank to TDC and reinsert it. Each camshaft turn differently but make sure it is TDC. Look at my guide how to adjust valve clearance and you'll have a better picture of what is going on inside.

To know for sure, you'll have to remove the engine cover if something had came off. I don't think it's anything big but I could be wrong. This is going back on my memory when I last took off the CCT.

Oem or manual tensioner? No the cover doesn't need to come off. Remove old one and retract new oem one until its bolted on. All done while the motor sits @ TDC

HELP with CCT install

Theres a video on how to do it.. But heres a go. On the right side of the bike, on the engine case cover theres a piece of the cover that cones off right here Click image for larger version

Then when u take that off you should see this with a dash mark next to the bolt that says 10 hereClick image for larger version

Turn that with a 14mm socket untill the dash meets up with the lower mark below the cover and u shpuld be a tdc.. Hope this helps
