Can't recall who was telling the story but a moto journalist described a story where some guys in the pits were putting all sorts of stickers on their race bike. The usual stuff that comes with the aftermarket parts. Kenny Roberts Sr comes by and asks them if they were getting paid to put those stickers on. The collective was deafening. You can feel special and all for running a Repsol bike but really all you're doing is lending out advertising space for free.

Wait till that V4 RC homologation special hits the streets. It won't need stickers to set itself apart from the pack.

I'm not really a huge fan of repsol color scheme. It's everywhere and kind of played out. Yamaha seems to have better paint job.

Agree. It's not the most attractive livery but as they say the best looking bike is the one out front. Repsol Honda's have been making that look good for decades. Classic but not good lookin. FWIW Repsol I think realize that. Was said at Valencia test that they're going to totally revise their livery. The current scheme has been tweaked a little over the years but they want something new & fresh.
