This list was given to myself by my Uncle since I' am on the market for a new bike! (well used)
Thought it might help everyone Rookie-Veteran out, Good Luck and Happy Hunting!
Here in Philly very few ride alone (mostly small crews) but even if they are alone and get run off the road, 20 other riders are just a phone call away. it wont be long before these idiots are over run by a Squid-Squad that'll leave those Tonka cars smoldering!!
All I did was have a local shop do their 5 point check free.. Take it on a lift do a quick ride around and have a check list.. And after they were done I asked for the paper to know what to look for...
But being on and around bikes for a little while and seeing buddies in crashes and my self in one and helping and working on my own bike I now know the major issues and things to look for... Nothing beats experience and seat time.. So if you don't know have someone who does like a shop do it.. That way if something is messed and they said it was ok its now on them.. Until your competent enough to do it your self..
I think the list is good but for newer buys still should let the pros do it if not dont be suprised if you buy a lemon or miss something.
no problem guys! I'm about to go check out an R6 in like an hour, I'm gonna run through this checklist. Then take the seller with me to the actual mechanic.. Give him half if the mechanic says its ok. Then go get my loan, and pay him the rest!
