Just think though, if there was no religion then there would be no war! Wait a minute that sounds like a good idea, does it not?
lol
I think you would find that there would still be war, (for the best part) its not religion that causes it. It's greed. Religion has simply been a nice way to motivate large masses of people to do one mans bidding without questioning their motives.
It would simply be one less reason to fight, but we would still fight.
yeah dont forget religion, has killed more people throughout the ages than all the wars ever fought over countries, politics, etc, combined.
i believe in not believing. i have morales and i stand by them. i know right from wrong. i have been through two tours on bordrr patrolling in Mexico/arizona/texas and Afghanistan for the other. if their was or is a "God", he wouldn;t approve of the shite going on, that i alone have seen. my .02
I would say I'm more agnostic than anything but honestly I don't like being classified as anything. I just live my life with good morals and stay clear of all the religious debate nonsense.

i believe firmly that morality is a technology designed for prosperity.
i dont think there is anything divine to it necessarily.
the psyychedelic experience is the closest ive been to meeting god.
not much into miracles, but if you can believe jesus was a mushroom then turning water in to wine ( a metaphore for the amanita muscaria after its cap turns up and collects morning dew, staining it red) is not much of a miracle.
Turn "a christian" into "religous" and you have how I feel.
I believe in goodness and that's how I try to lead my life. I am not atheist or anything but human for that matter. However, I am tired of being rejected by people who believe in an established religion.
I'm on the agnostic side as well. We have too much proof of evolution to ignore it like churches want to. I'm with most along the lines of just being a good person. Plus I think of if someone is dying in the world every second or two and heaven and hell do exist then dang they have got to be crowded as **** by now and with that many people neither one would be any better than the other!
I am also one that believes in other life out there. The chances that we are not alone are just too minimal considering how old the universe is and how big it is. Now what blows my mind with the universe is what is outside of it? Is there another universe out their?
