Bought my 04 track bike awhile ago and it's never been on the street so time to make it a dual purpose. I will get some pictures up as soon as I can of the build.
Here are plans.
It's an 04 and I am going to make some adapter plates to make the 07-12 600rr passenger pegs fit and I am going to install at least 70 led's in each peg. 50 rear and 20-30 facing the sides. "have to make the IT fit in the 03-04 tail section". Also going to use our new IT taillight option that makes all the led's in the taillight running/brake and still lets the signals for left/right cancel the running lights so it's visible. The signals have to be red but that is legal in FL so will only appeal to some. 1000rr signal mirrors on the front, led headlights.
this could be interesting, i do like the idea of 07 pegs as i have an 03 cbr600rr that i as a street/track bike and getting the pegs on and off on a regular bassis is a bit of a pain

I have the taillight installed in the race tail.
I need to get some more mirrors in but I have one mounted. I need to reinforce my fairing stay to support the heavier mirrors so they don't vibrate so much. Made the fairing stay to just support the bodywork so it didn't matter. Also thinking of putting on some of our led Headlight pods if I get stuck in the dark. Can't decide if I should hide them or make a spot in the nose fairing for them.
That's what I was thinking. I can probably get them installed on the lower triple or maybe in the ram holes for the bodywork just recess them. I have to look at it.

Any pics of the taillight inside the race tail? I wanted to do this as well but thought that the IT would be a loose fit inside the race tail.
As for headlights, eventually I want to get the LED pods you have but make a bracket to hang them off of a race stay and make a plexiglass window on the fairings for the light to go out of. Sort of like a Suzuka endurance race bike look.
The mount had to be unique because I actually removed all the battery tray except the battery part to cut on the weight. I will show some pictures. The light was loose but found a way around it. It's glued in place as I didn't have any other way to attach besides some holes but it's not going anywhere. I will get some pictures up tomorrow. The paint will be redone, this was a quick shot with a spray gun, going to try my hand at painting to see how it comes out.
I put this up on the for sale section, to see if someone wants to trade before I tear into it and add wires that were already removed. This looks/function perfect. You won't have to worry about hiding extra wires. I will get started on the led lights up front since I have to modify the fairing stay to support them. If anyone is interested in swapping wiring harness's let me know.
Working on the headlight mounting but at a stand still till new front wiring shows up, I also need to get the signal/low/high/horn switches. I will get the passenger peg plates mocked up and cut soon as well.
Cleaned up some wiring. Put on some OEM plugs for the taillight/signals. Installed new flasher unit for the brake/signals.
Still deciding if I should cut through for the led light. I think if it's underneath it's going to be too low. Maybe stack 2 of these on top of eachother in the middle and cut through for the bodywork.
Signal/horn/headlight wired up. Took some work since I had an 05 and had to attach to 04 so wires were all different. Blacked out Cluster, Just need to get of all things a kickstand!!!! Making a headlight mount off the stock fairing stay and molding the light housings into the bodywork to make it look clean. This will take some time but will look nice when completed. Tail section installed 07-12 IT taillight working. Working on peg adapter plates to get the led pegs installed. I will get some pictures shortly.
Led strip lights added. BRIGHT!!!!
Blacked out Cluster. White speedo/fuel led's. Blue for the tach/orange for the signals/pink for neutral.
DC voltage meter installed where key should be.
07-12 600rr IT taillight installed/adjustable tag bracket with led light bar installed.
Rewired the horn button to be a primer for the engine. No start, just turn it over to get everything moving before it fires up. Not sure if it's still just tight but sounds dry when it fires up for a second or two before it purrs.
Led driving lights will be added next along with the signal mirrors/led passenger pegs to get some attention when braking/signaling.
They are going to be on the site when we get this finished up. Going to have a Track/street section for those that are doing the same thing. Seems to be a new theme for many.
Led light strips.. "recommended for daytime use only" Not bright enough for night time.
Led fog lights. These can be used in the night time no problem.
Adjustable tag brackets with brake light on the adjustable and you can get signals added to the bar as well so everything can be removed with 2 bolts for the trackday.
