I think it looks really good. they finally really changed the front look, unlike the last 9 years.
It will grow on 80% of you haters
its already starting with me. i 1st saw it and thought.. No No No No. but... i have to say i love the look of the front now. i think???? lol i think i may like the mids and lowers too lol.. the tail i`m not impressed with at all tho, would of liked a 1000rr-esque tail and i think i would of learned to love the whole bike.. i plan on keeping my 08 for longer than planned now but i cant see past the new daytona at the moment, thats one beautiful machine. but who knows things change
It has grown on me somewhat and now I think it's a decent looking bike. It does not look fresh however, it looks dated, like a late 1990s design. I may be biased but the only 600RR design that looked great right off the bat and was a fresh and very original design and still looks great today is the '03-'06 incarnation.

My personal opinion I like the clean look of the 07 08. I owned an red/black 08 which was stolen and was waiting to see if i was going to get a 2013 but looking at the pics I'm on the fence. The nose is really ugly, the fairings look cheap. I like that they kept the undertail. I hope technically it will ride better which will be awesome because it already rides wonderfully! I guess I'll have to wait for the Motorcycle show!!!
not liking it all that much,, maybe because i got the 2011 600rr and the last bike i had was a 1999 900rr.. back in 2000. so when i saw my bike at the store, the look and style of new bikes over are amazing to me.. I only like the rims and the fact they added tail light under the seat. For now the 07-12 look is meaner. hope honda could come out with different graphic schemes and color combinations. thats my 2 cents.
And there is a good reason for that. People talk all kinds of sh1t about cagers not seeing them, then they do things to make the problem worse. I prefer that the other people on the road actually see my signals. Messing up the lines on the bike? That sounds really ghey.

That's what I think is so funny they complain about it but get a almost non existent brake light turn signals and black out their bikes and remove all reflectors and such.. Then post huge threads on how they almost get hit or are never seen.

Good call Tater. There are plenty of bikes out there with safe effective turn signals w/o them dangling out in the wind on a post.
I think the reason Honda doesn't do it this way is because Honda likes to make it easy for the track day guys to be able to remove the lights. I think that backfired on them though when they saw the amount of people putting in tail taillights on the 600RR.

If you had been here in '06 when we got the first pics of the '07 (you can search and see the posts) people were horrified. Some thought it looked like an R6, others said it was butt ugly. 95% of people said they were done with the RR.
People came around and realized it was a BETTER bike and the looks grew on us. Not a judgement on the new bike, just a reflection on past events. And yes, history does repeat itself.
I happen to really like it. And now you get a 600RR Repsol edition.
I must say that I found the 03-06 600RR looks "meh", didn't care for them at all. The only one I've really liked is the 07-12 600RR.
The new one... nope, didn't like it at first, don't like it now either. I like aspects of it, like the wheels, the BPF (and I was ridiculed on this forum when I asked about doing a BPF swap) and the bigger fairings. The 07-12 fairings are too complex, too many pieces, too many flimsy tabs just waiting to break if you stare at them.
09+ lost power compared to 07-08, I guess 13+ will be still down in power...
When I got my 07 back in 09 the plan was to keep it for three or four years, as I expected an all new 600RR in 2011 (4 years), so I could replace it in 2012-13 a used bike of the 2011 new generation. That's not happening, I'll just wait for 13+ bikes to get parted to get those wheels and forks on my 07.

thats what i thought but the more i look the more i think i like it.. they fucked up on the tail tho imo,now that does look old fasioned. would of like to see the lights intergrated into the tail, like the gsxr and F3, the tails on all the other bikes look waaaaay more stylish and modern looking. that tail looks OLD man, no thought gone into the design of it whatso ever. oh dear.. i prob wont get a 600rr next time round :(
