I've used it quite often for my rainy season. It doesn't damage your visor because it is alcohol base. It works just like soap but last a bit longer.

Using the fog city strip works but over time it does get scratched from cleaning and can degrade your vision.

Here's the official site of the people who created the tech, but it looks like they don't list distributors in North America:

http://www.pinlock.nl/en/

STG has some, just search for "pinlock":

Riders Discount, too:

http://www.ridersdiscount.com/

I think you could easily find it through online vendors in the U.S.A. Note that the visor for a pinlock insert has 2 small holes in it to keep it in place. I assume you would have to buy one of these first because it would be near impossible to put the right holes in your current one. You'll need to see if there's a compatible shield that supports the pinlock insert in this case.

I was out for about 4 hours this weekend in lowish temperatures - 7 celsius (45 F). Sunglasses kept fogging up, but the pinlock lens never did.

40 degrees?? It doesnt even get that cold here so I can't comment on that.

But this happens with me and my RF1100 when its high 50s. I just crack my visor open at redlights. It does not happen while riding no matter how hard I breathe.

I've used the respro foggy mask for over 2 years and love it. You have to fiddle with the it te first time you put it in to get a good seal and to get it on your face where u want it when the helmet is on( took me a couple rides for me)...I've ridden with this in temps down to the low 20's( about 2 degrees with wind chill)...kept my face, chin an neck warm and my visor didn't fog up... was cool to watch the ice form on my gloves and mirrors.

I've used it in all crappy weather...rain, fog, cold, etc... my biggest nemesis was the rain and fog... but once I go this mask in I very rarely had an issue with the visor fogging up...
