Maybe I'm strange. I like the raw metal look of swing arms. I LOVE the titanium colored engine covers on my bike too. Powdercoated swing arms are just another thing to get scratched and chipped in my opinion, and it looks boring, like there is a plastic cover over it or something. I do agree with chrome, it doesn't belong on race bikes and it I hate it. Some guy here stripped off his powder coated frame in a botm, looked like a moto gp bike, raw and race bike looking. It's nice not seeing the same old stuff over and over again anyways. BLACK AND RED... no offense, I know this is a cbr forum, but....

I like the raw look of the new '12 and of the 1000RR Repsol frames. Not that a good black isn't nice but after a while it's just a little too common. Raw aluminum and carbon fiber just look more like a race bred vehicle.

So did I. Plasti-dip works great! Not just because it is removable but because it has a really clean matte/almost hammertone finish. It is also much easier to apply than spray paint because if you make a mistake it is easy to fix and runs are easy to cover up.

I have my subframe and silver mid fairings done. It will not however work on pegs...

spray paint is a easy and cheap way, but PC will look better and last longer.
