Looking for help on wiring Bixenon projector halos

I looked on all the threads and no one really explains the wiring part of this mod well. If someone knows of a thread that dose can you please post a link.

I'm going from this diagram I found.



My biggest questions are,

1. On the far side of the diagram there is a High Low sitch and there is a Low High switch. Why?? At first I thought one was the rocker switch but that is down by the ballasts in the diagram.

2. It shows that you are supposed to cut the red wires coming from the ballasts and wire those to the rocker switch. This didnt seem right to me and I didnt want to cut those without first knowing if that was correct.

for your first question:

The high/low and low/high "switches" on the far left of the diagram is actually the socket you plug into the stock head lights. You'll need snip those sockets off and follow the diagram and connect those wires to the appropriate blue and white hi and low beam wires so that you can use your factory high and low beam switch with your projectors.

for question 2:

You do in fact cut the red wire. It seems taboo at first. I thought the same when i did mine as well but I tested the theory with alligator clips and discovered that is in face what you want to do.

Let me know if i need to clarify more. Its still early for me. Not enough coffee yet.

The hi/lo parts are the factory pigtails. If you don't want to clip them off, just find some sort of a spade connector to stick into the sockets or make your own pigtail for it.

I got my left light Hi and Low working but my right light flashes a low when i flip the switch and does nothing for Hi. Anyone know the cause of this?

Just swapped the ballasts and I think I have a bad ballast cause now its the right that works and the left that dont. If anyone thinks im wrong please let me know. thanks

Gonna bump this.

I'm completely removing my stock headlights, and just throwing in a single projector. Has anybody done this yet that can help me with the wiring?

if youre going from two lights to one, just use one side of the bulb harness, tape the other one up.

But I want to be able to run high beam as well...

Each harness for the headlight has 2 wires. ground, and power. So if you are going to a single projector. depending on the projector it will have 2 wires for the solonoid for the high/low beam. all this does it move a shield internally in the projector. that will probally get wired to the ground and high.

the bulb you use will need to be on all the time. so use the low beam harness. it should be on all the time.
